Rice will be broke from CP billings alone

So that wouldn't seem to move the needle much. And after he pays off that $400K lambo and a couple hundred K gets thrown at aggrieved motorists, he's gonna wish he'd have bought a Corolla instead of a Corvette...

How long were you in jail for driving suspended? A couple hours?

Way back in the day I got arrested for driving suspended (not even my fault) and never got booked into the jail. I had released within an hour and this was on a Friday night.

The dude should know better. Yes, many people speed and race on highways. You’re an adult in the NFL, don’t screw that up. **** around and find out gets the best of everyone.

As has been mentioned, there seems to be a disconnect with people between what actually happened vs what could have happened.

All minor injuries and that's what will drive the punishment, not the hundreds of worse theoreticals that didn't occur.

I've driven my car 130MPH on the highway. Nothing happened, cops never saw me, so I was never charged with anything.

I've played around with a guy in a new Charger RT on the highway, probably hit 120mph. Nothing happened. No charges.

Now I didn't do either of those things on a busy freeway in Dallas because I'm not that stupid.

Let's find out.

Have you ever been involved in a street race?
If no, gay.
If yes. What color were your fingernails?

My prediction:

Rice is eventually going to plead to a misdemeanor, pay a fine, and cover the costs of the accident. There will be no jail time. One or more of the people hit will sue him in civil court which he’ll either settle or lose. The NFL will wait until he enters the plea to render its suspension which will be 6-8 games and be arbitrated down to 4. This could come before the start of the season or during the season.

He then breaks his own record of 26 receptions in the playoffs with 34 (done in only 3 games this time!) on the way to his second Super Bowl.

Saturday night, 5-6 hours because it was late and I couldn't get a bondsman to pick up the phone in the shitsburg town I was in. One finally picked up the phone and charged me double his normal rate for his services.

I've known other people who were just told to get it sorted. I was hoping to be told the same once I explained why the license had been suspended but the officer gave no ****s. All good... he was within his right to do so.

This would be absolute bullshit.

So what you are saying is "we" wouldn't be in jail right now. Got it.

And if you were in MO its state law (or used to be anyway) you go to jail driving suspended, no options. Kansas is more variable depending on where you are.

Yea this doesn't fall under the domestic violence policy. The general conduct policy is much more lenient.

I would argue Frank Clark having an illegal gun 2x in Cali was a more serious charge and situation. (even though that was bullshit too)

Yeah, the place to do that is in the middle of nowhere. I briefly went around 125 mph on a country road with no other cars. Got scared at that speed and slowed back down to 70 mph, lol

Very excited to check in regularly on this thread and see tweets, copy/paste facebook posts, links to youtube videos, clips from tv shows posted all posted for the 8th time and dated from yesterday or 6+ hours ago.

Safe bet - if you see something is more than an hour old, in a topic this heavily discussed, it's already been shared.

Marcellus 04-02-2024 12:03 PM

Also has anyone mentioned how actually reeruned you have to be lose control in one of those cars?

I wonder if the idiots had the traction control off.
