The one thing that will always make me laugh is people predicting bad shit to keep happening in a game (or games, or weeks/months later, or forever).... and that's pretty much the only thing people ever point out after a game (and seems to be Lzen's point).
Not people venting about playing like shit or really anything happening in the moment.... but, saying a team is going to lose the game in the first quarter/half, or how playing like shit in the first quarter/half today means they'll lose the next game because they're playing a better team next, etc; or lose in the playoffs because teams that play like shit for a quarter against X don't win playoff games.
And it probably does just come down to some people being more literal than others or for some reason wanting to say dumb stuff like that in the spirit of venting or predicting bad things, whatever.
It's still funny to me though, especially when talking about the Jayhawks and Chiefs (and just sports in general). |
