My dating life has been fine, but I am single and I did get thrown off by a situation recently.
Cute, young teacher with no ring happens to be in two of my grad classes. It's early in the semester. She calls me out about it from across the classroom and we have a decent, flirty conversation. Next class, she sits right next to me and insists on getting my number since I'm in her two classes. She texts me some bullshit about class this past weekend and we talk a little bit, but I make sure to keep it non-creepy. Thursday, an hour and a half before one of our classes, she texts me and asks if im on campus and tells me where she is. I wasn't on campus. Fast forward to that class and she insists we get together for an upcoming assignment. A little later, walking out together, I ask her how she's settling in to her new place...
"well I still have some boxes and our internet isn't set up yet blah blah blah... <mumble>...my boyfriend... blah blah blah"
So now Im supposed to feel like the creep for thinking there might have been interest there? Thank God Im not an over-anxious, desperate loser and played it perfectly.
But **** you and your live-in boyfriend.
