If you just accept the facts that Andy Reid is incompetent and only coached in 4 super bowls (and won 2) out of sheer dumb luck and that every decision not to sign a popular player is based out of racism you can get along with both of them.

I don't know why anyone would either be against Jones or against the Chiefs. Our best interest is that they get a deal done. I don't blame a guy doing what he can within the rules to get his last big contract, and I don't blame the team for driving a hard bargain. This is all just business.

Jones was a second rounder. Not saying that we will get a Top 10 blue chip DT prospect, but KCs success is very much a product of hitting on picks outside of the first round (minus Mahomes of course). They could snag another player of the caliber of Jones at some point.

Not sure how KC sniffs a top-10 DT prospect when they're always picking in the 30s.

Maybe Veach can find a trade partner for Travis?

They don't, which is why hitting on talent later in each round is so critical. The draft is set up to turn have nots into haves and vice versa. Barring something critical happening, I just don't see them drafting high for the foreseeable future.

Sure they could, but we're picking late every round now and these guys are very rare. We COULD get another Kelce, it's still not likely. More realistic is getting two solid to very good DTs and the same for DEs, with the result a good DL. I mean, we can easily upgrade what's been next to Jones for years
