Tj carpenter seems to think the guys having the worst camps are wilson, Gaines and ford.

Good lord, Jeff Fisher is a shitty coach

So one of the guys he picks out has barely practiced due to injury and another has been slowly brought back from one?

Carpenter is such a tool.

I don't think he's bad... I think he practices poorly. His good moments are great. His bad moments are really bad.

This is what he had to say about Ford. Pretty much the same thing Paylor said, but glass is half empty.

Sounds to me like he's just picking out guys that have an important role, but have yet to blow him away.

Yeah, I remember Tamba saying something last year about how Ford needed to pay more attention to what he was doing during practices. At the time it kinda sounded like Ford just sorta was going through the motions rather than honestly working to get better. Anyway, not good when Tamba makes such a comment about a guy.

Yea I'm going to call bullshit on this. I believe you are talking about him saying that Ford needs to step up this year. I don't ever remember Tamba saying anything about him not practicing well though

Isn't Gaines supposed to be full go by now?

He's lived off one Super Bowl appearance and a long tenure in a market new to pro football (Nashville) that gave him the benefit of the doubt to 5 years to long.

He's been slowly brought back. I don't think they started working him in consistently until about a week ago. Terez said he flashed the other day (also had a pick), and he's also had nothing but good reports about Wilson when he's been healthy.

So we're just gonna accept the good reports and discard the bad ones?

I don't discard the bad ones that come from Paylor or Jacobs. I just think Carpenter is a tool.

You don't think it's ridiculous to pick out Wilson and Gaines given their situations? It's like he's penalizing them for it.

Not to bum anyone out but I think he's passed. There's no way he'd be missing this season on CP.

Dont want to derail the thread any longer than necessary, but I somehow missed what was going on with Sacc

He always struck me as not that old, had a younger mans opinions and tastes in most things... what did he say was going on with him?

I don't usually pay much attention to carpenter, but he's actually been at practice so I guess he's got that going for him.

I think paylor is pretty good, but tends to be a little too optimistic and Jacobs is ok.

I usually like to get as many opinions as possible and see trends.

There's been quite a few negative things on ford so far, which isn't good, but I haven't heard much from the other 2 either way.
