No deal on the horizon. Looks like Veach made his final offer and Katz bros refused.

Dude is really gonna sit games out til week 8 huh?

I don't think anyone else around the league will pay him anywhere near enough to offset losing $20M of income in 2023 and 2024. This feels similar to Orlando Brown, who ended up settling for a very weak contract with the Bengals.

He shouldn't bother showing up at Arrowhead tonight and making a fool of himself.

Hold OUT... out of mind, out of sight... don't be a distraction.

Each new move he makes just makes him look like an even bigger douche.

Coming to watch the game from his suite?

I hope the Chiefs put his mug up on the scoreboard and he gets to hear what 80,000 fans really think of him.

Hahaha chris jones is gonna be a spectator at the game

Is he just trying to be an assclown or what

Hope Arrowhead goes full-on "soccer crowd" on him and pelts him with bags of piss.

Would be the only good thing to ever come from the sport of flopper.

Bwana 09-07-2023 04:11 PM

Evidently math isn't Jones super power.

Chris Jones gets assigned a suite by himself with Jackson Mahomes and is locked in there until he agrees to end his hold out.

Ending his holdout without signing the offered extension would be a baller move that folks like you will endlessly piss and moan about until next summer.

I wouldn't let his agent haggle a car dealership

Jones is going to end up with less money than he would have signing a deal today lol this is just incredible to watch

I'd be lolling and lmaoing if I were a fan of any other team

Would adding a third year to the extension be a possible solution (at the same AAV the Chiefs are offering)? Adds guaranteed money for Chris and another year for the Chiefs. He would be 33 and likely not near as productive at that age, but as salaries continue to spike as the salary cap increases it would probably not be near as big of a cap hit.

After the Bosa deal, I’m wondering what he is actually hoping to get.

Molitoth 09-07-2023 04:40 PM

I think Jones is hoping for a Chiefs loss tonight to help artificially raise his value in hopes the Chiefs panic.

C'mon Veach.

I think they'll announce during the game he's signed. Just a feeling.

Just seems weird for him to be in attendance and not signed.

Titty Meat 09-07-2023 05:09 PM

Bunch of fat broke dudes telling one of the best defensive players in the league what he should negotiate for pay lol
