My concern was that Allen is a two-strike guy and Barnett is coming off a major injury and Rivers is essentially a rookie with three or four starts. However, I was figuring that Ware is more of a 3-4 guy and didn't fit the system I was building, and I had few prospects left at MLB, and I like the idea of generating a pass rush without blitzing.

It's cool if the trade is cool between the two of you. I consider Ware to be a little bit above Allen in value. Maybe I'm overvaluing Barnett and Rivers. They're both going to put up over 100 tackles a piece.

Wow, how did you get this one done? I asked about Allen, and was told it would cost me Nnamdi Asomugha, Ty Warren AND a veteran pick just for Allen. That was the end of those talks.

Ware had way more sacks that Nnamdi. :D

Well its like this. Demarcus Ware is a 20 sack man, and fits my scheme better.

Allen is good I know, but he plays for the vikings and I can't stand him.

Rivers got owned and his season ended by a wider receiver (albeit Hines Ward, my favorite receiver and a bad @ss) Plus the Bengals need more help on defense than just Maulauga. And like Rain man mentioned, he's near rookie status.

Weird trade... 2 for 4... would have been tough for me to give up Ware, but depth is great and those 4 guys aren't horrible.
