2 of them were very expendable, and I'm a Bears fan--I hate jared allen
|
My concern was that Allen is a two-strike guy and Barnett is coming off a major injury and Rivers is essentially a rookie with three or four starts. However, I was figuring that Ware is more of a 3-4 guy and didn't fit the system I was building, and I had few prospects left at MLB, and I like the idea of generating a pass rush without blitzing.

thanks for updating the remaining picks...
and yeah, I'm happy with the trade. only sour part was including that 15th rounder lol |
It's cool if the trade is cool between the two of you. I consider Ware to be a little bit above Allen in value. Maybe I'm overvaluing Barnett and Rivers. They're both going to put up over 100 tackles a piece.

 Wow, how did you get this one done? I asked about Allen, and was told it would cost me Nnamdi Asomugha, Ty Warren AND a veteran pick just for Allen. That was the end of those talks. |

Ware had way more sacks that Nnamdi. :D |

Well its like this. Demarcus Ware is a 20 sack man, and fits my scheme better.
Allen is good I know, but he plays for the vikings and I can't stand him. Barnett is incredibly overrated, and is a cry-baby wuss. See this --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=su8_BbkG59o Rivers got owned and his season ended by a wider receiver (albeit Hines Ward, my favorite receiver and a bad @ss) Plus the Bengals need more help on defense than just Maulauga. And like Rain man mentioned, he's near rookie status. The 15th vet I was sour about and have no explanation for. :D |
Weird trade... 2 for 4... would have been tough for me to give up Ware, but depth is great and those 4 guys aren't horrible.
Interesting... |

OK, here is what I have (team and remaining picks). For our new owner, I've traded away my rookie picks, so I'll walk away with 38 picks in the 33 rounds of the veteran draft.
As you can see, I've loaded up through 13 rounds and have 0 picks in 14, 15 and 17. I would like to get back into R14, R15 or R16... and I have the picks below to package in a deal. I'm not interested in giving up more picks than I receive, but I am willing to get very creative. So, 2 for 2 or 3 for 3 types of deals will really only interest me. If you want to give me 3 for 2, sure... but I doubt I'm in a position to get that without including a player. I'm not against trading a player, but it would have to be a hell of a deal. In order to move up R14-16, I would package a combination of picks that include my R16 and my three R18s. So, if anyone is interested, send me a PM. Draft Pick Situation 21 picks remaining in 20 rounds: R14: 0 R15: 0 R16: 1 pick R17: 0 R18: 3 picks (mine, FW Dancers & Tucson)<o></o> R19: 1 pick<o></o> R20: 1 pick R21-24: one pick each = 4 picks R25: 3 picks (mine, Steamers & Tucson) R26-33: one pick each = 8 picks Memphis Malt Liquor(17 players) Matt Schaub, QB (age 27) Trent Edwards, QB (age 25) Anquan Boldin, WR (age 28) TJ Houshmandzadeh, WR (age 31) Roy Williams, WR (age 27) Greg Olsen, TE (age 23) Brandon Jacobs, RB (age 26) Kevin Smith, RB (age 22) Marcus McNeil, LT (age 25) Julius Peppers, DE/OLB (age 28) Kevin Williams, DT (age 28) Kris Jenkins, NT (age 29) Kirk Morrison, ILB (age 26) Cutis Lofton, MLB (age 22) Richard Marshall, CB (age 24) Charles Tillman, CB (age 27) Gibril Wilson, S (age 27) The "Average Age" of both offense and defense is 26 years old... gotta like that from a dynasty perspective. And just because Mile High Mania loves to think that I worship him.....I'll do the same for my team.
I am looking to move up into the bottom of R14 or the top of R15. Here is my draft pick situation. :: Draft Picks :: R15: 2 picks (Mine and Steamers) R16: 1 pick R17: 2 picks (Mine and Steamers) R18: 0 picks R19: 1 pick R20: 1 pick R21: 1 pick R22: 1 pick R23: 2 picks (Mine and Choo Choos) R24: 1 pick R25: 0 picks R26 - R32: 1 pick in each round (7 picks total) R26-32: one pick each = 8 picks R33: 0 picks Tucson Tittie Twisters (18 Players) QB - Jay Cutler (age 26) RB - Steven Jackson (age 25) RB - Marshawn Lynch (age 23) WR - Calvin Johnson (age 23) WR - Jerricho Cotchery (age 27) TE - Jason Witten (age 27) LT - Duane Brown (age 23) C - Jeff Faine (age 28) RT - Jordan Gross (age 28) LDE - Gaines Adams (age 26) DT - Sedrick Ellis (age 23) RDE - Cliff Avril (age 23) WLB - Thomas Howard (age 25) MLB - Lofa Tatupu (age 26) SLB - DeMeco Ryans (age 24) CB - Rashean Mathis (age 28) CB - Leon Hall (age 24) SS - Kenny Phillips (age 22) Average age of team = 25 years old with the oldest player being 28 (Faine/Gross/Mathis) |
I'm getting a restraining order... we're nearly a mirror image of each other.
I understand your interest in moving up, but what about moving out of R15 or R16? |
