In the meantime, don't underestimate Texas' ability to **** everything up. Institutions dangling from the teat might not notice or even care, though.

Clemson is, perhaps, the 2nd-most valuable athletic institution in the ACC. VT can make an argument, so 3rd-most at worst. (not GT, not UNC)

For whatever reason, win or lose, Clemson is getting solid support and tons of ratings when they are on TV.

Clemson is not some weird, random throw-in, they would be a solid worthy addition in their own right.

ND is no longer a pipe dream.

The longer this goes in the direction the SEC and BigXII push it, ND will not have a choice. The idea of selling a bowl game where you don't pay homage to BCS bowl execs, but instead keep all the revenue, signals that the end may be near for BCS. And with it, goes the exceptions that allowed ND in the back door when they didn't belong.

My guess is that UT isn't really against the addition of FSU/Clemson, but are now waiting to see what signals ND may give in the next few days.

They also have a bit of a crazy entrance for their football team into Death Valley, and the ratings don't lie. Hard not to root for Clemson to survive conference realignment when they get the support they have.

Florida State has probably 1/2 the state of Florida. I'm not really sure, but in the 80's and first half of the 90's they had 1/2.

I can't wait until Kansas goes into Tallahasse and kicks Florida State's ass.

Tallahassee itself is really not a big TV market, but you'll at least make a dent in most of the Florida markets.

I still don't think ND will move until someone practically holds a gun to their head. I don't think they'll want to give up the USC/Boston College/Michigan/Stanford, etc etc games to make trips to Manhattan and Ames every year until they absolutely have to.

Yeah it's been awhile since KU has won a conference road game.
