These shin splints are bringing me down. Ran two miles last Wednesday, the only day I could work out. The left one started hurting Friday and hasn't stopped. Told a coworker Friday I was struggling to walk. Just a weird feeling in my left shin area.

The compression wrap isn't working. Tried to run today and pain was immediate. I gave up and went home after a mile walk.

With everyone talking about shin splints, I looked up what they were, as I've never had one (knock on wood). If they're persistent, shouldn't you see a doctor?

If they are bothering you, why continue to run? Or more importantly, why do you run?

They can't really do anything about shin splints other than give some pain meds. Shin splints take a long time to heal. They can lead to stress fractures if not taken care of. I'm fairly certain my left shin would hurt much worse if that were the case.

I have a PT test coming on May 12th. If I pass it I get an extra $532 pretax on my paycheck. I'm fairly certain if the pain would stay away for the test I'd pass. I haven't failed one yet. After the test I'm sticking to low impact and weights for a month.

Ride a bike to get your endurance up and save the pain for the test day. The cardio will carry over.

About 2/3 done with losing my summer 15 and it's not even May! Might have to shoot for 20-25, but I haven't been that light since my freshman year of college.

Feeling pretty good this morning. Straight outta bed and knocked out 5 jumping jacks. Took out the ceiling fan though and the wife is kinda pissed.

Down 30 pounds in 69 days.

Did 30 minutes of cycling for 8.26 miles. Also increased my bench by 10 lbs today. Finally had a spotter who really pushed me on the bench.
