So I’ve done some digging. Apparently Hill was raised by a single mom growing up and never had a father figure in his life. Her name is Anesha Sanchez and the fathers name is Derrick Shaw. She got pregnant with Tyreek when they were in High School. Aneshas gradmother and grandfather took him in and essentially raised him for a little bit

I don't know but this is a BAD look and I hope he uses whatever legal recourse he has to punish the idiots responsible. Public records are one thing, but the average fan doesn't go online to find that kind of shit out. As crazy as we are, we DO tend to respect the privacy of our players on the home front, as it should be.

Tyreek almost certainly was disciplined like this growing up. This is the aspect that people overlook when it comes to this.

To be 100% clear, punching a child in the chest and whipping him with a belt are NEVER appropriate ways to discipline a child. Tyreek is absolutely wrong for what he did.

That said, he likely sincerely doesn't realize the extent of how inappropriate it is because he was almost certainly raised the same way and thinks it's just normal to punish your child like that.

Again, no excuse for his actions, but it's still a bit of a sad story to me with that context in mind.

He was raised by his grandma and grandfather so I can see it when he might think a belt and punching is discipline. The grandparents were raised in a time and place where that was normal
