Rice sent a text to the car company saying “he was involved and would pay for it.”

1. That was ****ing stupid from a legal standpoint.
2. It doesn’t sound like there is confirmation he was the driver, despite being the only one permitted to drive per the agreement.

They’ll still need to prove he was driving. Assuming he didn’t send any other stupid texts and he and his friends kept their mouths shut, it will be hard to bury him.

I’ll bet they strike a plea deal for some misdemeanor just to mutually get past it (unless there is concrete evidence he was driving).

He's probably going to admit to driving. The cops can see him getting out of the car. The main thing is he's not busted for guns in the car, nor for alcohol and whatever else in his system.

Only because he fled the scene of an accident. Aka... hit and run. He's in so much s***. I don't think he'll spend a day in jail but still.
