Discuss Thrower 04-30-2014 09:30 PM

Ran for about 9 minutes on the treadmill at speeds around 5mph and walked the other 12 or so minutes.

Third day in a row I've done 50 jumping jacks and 15 (very painful) pushups.

Did a stint in urgent care because the aborted run I went on Monday evening gave me a death rattle in my chest as well as some tightness.

Really good spotters are rare these days. I had a guy literally "help" me on every single rep I did when I was doing incline. I stopped after a couple and told him I got it and I'd tell him when I needed help, but he kept on doing it even after. Pissed me off.

Sounds like you're probably just really out of shape but if you're working out you're on the right track.

Also, if I may- and take this with a grain of salt because I don't know half the shit a lot of the guys in this thread do- just stop doing jumping jacks. Those things are next to pointless and I'm sure you could find a more effective use of your time.

They are. Everyone is a bit different.

Personally, I like help getting the bar off the rack but after that just stay the **** out of my way. Just make sure I don't die. If you see me struggling, maybe put your fingers on the bar and take off a few pounds.

Thats what I do. I ask for a hand-off so I can keep my shoulder blades pinched back and in place, then let them know I'm good. I only have someone stick around if I'm going for broke on a set. Otherwise I usually leave a rep or two in the tank.

Dude, jumping jacks are where it's at ! As of yesterday I'd lost 69 pounds in 30 days. This morning I'm at 77 pounds in 31 days and I only did 5 jumping jacks this morning.

You should probably see a doctor.

I would substitute push ups for the jumping jacks. I'm probably way off base though. I'm a rookie. :)

Weighed in at 186.4 last night.

Yeah, I'm a woman telling my weight. Officially 70 lbs down. Approximately 40 more to go.

Sorry to hear about your AIDS.

Note to self: Doing 45 thrusters right before a 1500m row SUCKS. I need to do that more often.

You don't look anywhere close to that weight, in a good way. What's your height?

ThaVirus 05-01-2014 06:42 PM

Yeah, I think we all agree. You're a very svelte 180.
