Then we could turn around and pick high in the 2nd. Maybe Pollack OC, Caldwell WR, Henne QB, or Young G. That would be a nice start to the first day!

No offense, but barring an injury or arrest, McKelvin isn't going to last that long. And if we were to choose any of those other players with #28 OR #35 I'd stab MYSELF in the face.

Pollack is the best C in the draft and along with Williams would be a major factor on our line for years to come. Nasty and Smart with technique. Caldwell is a big reciever with great hands who also is a great returner with speed. Young may be a bit of a reach I admit, but he's an excellent drive blocker who dominated one-on-one situations. Reggie Smith isnt the fastest but he makes plays and hits hard. All of these guys are seen as top 5 at their positions so I dont see where face stabbing would be called for. If the said situation were to come about who would you rather?

I agree about Williams - he wasn't mentioned in your post - at least not directly.

For the record, I think trading down in this draft is reeruned. But since you asked:

R1/22 - Chris Williams or Branden Albert
R1/28 - Sam Baker
R2/35 - James Hardy
R2/61 - Charles Godfrey

I would Love Hardy, I just assumed by the 2nd he would be gone. I also think a starting CB will be harder to find later on thats why I think we'll need one at 35 or higher. I completely forgot about Albert. Love that pick. Cant argue with any of your picks.
I'm wouldnt be for the trade down in all situations. Its rare you get to pick a top 5 talent. But if Both Longs, Ellis, and Dorsey (though DT is not our greatest need among so many) are all gone , why not fill our numerous holes with 2 first round picks in a draft that is deep at our positions of greatest need?

We have a big, physical receiver in Bowe. I'd rather get a speed guy with good hands than the 6'5" 4.5s 40-time Hardy.

The other thing I like about Caldwell is he is a great returner and he's got great chang of direction and speed.

Can't disagree, but I just think the Chiefs are going to look for another tall, physical guy.

JMO.

Tried to hijack the thread and make picks for all of the teams.

San Fransisco was just bad last year. They can use help in a lot of places. They are targeting WR's to bolster that pathetic offense, DE's to get some pass rush on that defense (although they have added Justin Smith from Cinci) and OL.

With the 29th pick in the draft, the San Fransisco 49ers select James Hardy, WR, Indiana University

James Hardy is big, 6'6" 215 lbs. and fast, 4.4-40. If he were playing at a big time school, he would be a household name. However, since he was playing at IU, he will need a little time to catch up to the NFL game, but I think Alex Smith will love throwing to this guy.

Is it just me or is James Hardy, like, the best prospect in this Draft that nobody's talking about?

I swear to god I have him right up there next to Kelly.

I've been watching Hardy his whole career. He's a special player. No he doesn't have blazing speed, but he's got wonderful hands to go with an amazing physical build...

Remember when CrazyCoffey posted 200 times a day.....now we can't get him to show up to make his pick.
