Ha... My dad loves Cardinal baseball. When he was growing up in Kirksville it was either the Cards or the KC A's. The latter was so popular they're now in Oakland.

cubs are 15w- 17L in 1 run games
Cards are 21w- 20L

I wonder if Frazod went to the game.

He hasn't been on this forum today i don't believe.

If you see a fight in the stands, it most likely could involve him.

You are speaking circa 1950...

This is a new day and age...most every good power hitter/athlete that is drafted, if you pay attention to the draft, is a 3rd baseman or SS...or catcher...and then they get converted to other positions in the minors.

So when Ryan Braun gets the call up, poor ol' 3rd baseman before him either moves to 2nd, to 1st, to the OF or to a new team...and then poor ol' Ryan Braun, who can hit anything, sucks in the field so he moves to the OF and makes way for the next big thing coming up from AA.

What the fuck are you talking about?

I said Middle infielders. The reason why they played shortstop before they were drafted is because they were the best athletes on the field. Pujols played short in high school. Hell, one of my college roommates tried to spike him to break up a double play and he just verticaled his ass while he slung it over to first.

You value offense from you projected shortstops or second baseman to be roughly equal. It's not a corner infield, nor an outfield position. Because of that, the differentiating factor between second and short is arm strength, since they both need equal lateral quickness and speed, as well as glovework.

Cubs are 7w- 5L in extra innings
Cards are 6w-9L

DeRosa rocketed that over to first.

Dude...

What are you talking about? I know the best athletes play short...the best athletes are the ones that become pros...****ing Jason Giambi was probably an amazing fielder back in grammar school.

I'm saying, almost every MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL 2nd baseman has a good, strong throwing arm.

That's my only argument. You've yet to successfully rebut it, I gave you a list of 2nd baseman, and you can't name one with a weak arm. You don't know shit.

You didn't even know Soriano had a good arm in the OF...

You are again, like usual, a pseudo intellect. I'd expect nothing less.

'Hamas' Jenkins 08-08-2008 03:03 PM

That's now the third inning we've run ourselves out of.

Jewish Rabbi 08-08-2008 03:03 PM

What the **** Pujols???

Flustrated 08-08-2008 03:05 PM
