People think I'm crazy as hell for sharing stuff here. It helps. Mine's usually from some overemotional reaction (pissed off, nervous, frustrated etc). There are some assholes on here (obviously), but there are some really cool people on here, too. It's like a one stop shop for advice on how-to's, what's good, football, politics, media, etc. I'm pretty much an open book, and I'm able to go back and laugh at the stupid shit I start. I've definitely grown an extra layer or two of skin by being on here, and that's helped me elsewhere.

I smoked cigarettes for 17 years, then just quit cold turkey. I would say that after about a month I never even thought about another cigarette. Honest.
I even smoked in the shower before work. Thats when I realized it was time to quit.

I think by you posting your desire to quit on this forum, you have really taken a first step to truly wanting to quit. You have to truly want to quit. You can do it.
