Thiggy has been robbed two weeks in a row of a win ... You couldn't ask anymore out of a QB than he has played .. I think if Flowers had been in the game and Brackenpuke had been on the bench we would have won that game anyway .. Thats two weeks in a row Brackenpuke has got beat in the enzone ...

I thought Leggett got beat on that last TD.

WTF man, all things considered, thiggy is doing a fantastic job. Why all the hate? He came from a small college and it's his 3rd start for ****s sake. If he's playing this well now, I can't wait to see how he's playing in another 5, 6 games. Seriously man, sometimes you just come off as being reeruned.

I think there is a thread for it on the first page.

And it was Patterson the week before, we just signed brackenridge back thurs, he was the corner blitzing on that play that = 0 rush.

Obviously the jury is still out on Thigpen, based on the three starts 2 have been solid and one sucked. OK, doesn't mean he is for surely great or is going to be terrible. You can say if he continues to improve he should be able to comepete next year for the starting job, sure. If he sucks it up then you shouldn't even worry about him. To say that he is terrible and not a starter in the NFL is moronic. When he can put THIS team in a winning scenario two weeks in a row against playoff teams you can't say he isn't capable. Spotty throws? Couple bad decisions? Sure, but to label him terrible/great is just moronic.

Bump.

Thigpen had another solid game. I wish he could have made the play at the end. Still pulling for the kid and hoping he's our QBOTF.

Agree, Looked awesome in the second half. Credit to SD for defensive adjustments, and tough luck with our defense getting injured. Didnt let Thiggy get the ball back much, but its the QB's job to figure out how to move the ball in spite of that.

To be honest, I haven't been this excited with a Chiefs QB since Joe Montana...and he's young, mobile, and smart. I think maybe Pats fans may have been talking about Tom Brady the same way when he took over the team (with the exception of the 1-8 thingie, of course.)
And that is a big thingie.
Nevertheless, I love what this guy is doing.

If anything the performance today should be enough to stuff Hutard back into that hole he crawled out of for good.

JuicesFlowing 11-09-2008 09:52 PM

He's been improving week to week, and that's all anyone can ask ...

suds79 11-09-2008 09:53 PM

While it's obvious he's comfortable and good in the spread offense because he ran that in college. I wonder what kind of effect that has for the rest of his game?

You know his confidence has to be growing. So I wonder how he's feeling about other sets?

Seems to be playing good in those also.

How big of a steal could this be if he turns out to be a solid to good (he's playing above that right now) long term QB? :D
