I'm still for the idea of drafting him. I like him better as a prospect than Sanchez. But that doesn't mean you disregard any of the negatives on a scouting report.

Yes, I am. We're not talking good QBs. We're talking about franchise QBs. And as of right now, Matt Ryan makes a lot more mistakes than you want out of a QB. That doesn't mean he won't work his way out of them. Frankly, I think we're seeing a lot of what some criticized him for in college--a bit of a gunslinger who makes some mistakes.

I'm pretty sure a second rounder isn't a draft position point value to move up from #3 to #1 in the first round.

28 is not old for a traditional QB, that is the prime of their career.

Pretty much everyone said the chart was out last year. And if you look at the trades that happened, that was the case. Yes, the chart was off by 230 points on the trade, but we didn't have the pick to make a trade with anyway since it went early for Cassel/Vrabel.

ROFL. Just age wise, funny though.

LMAO. We're set, then.

No chance in hell that Pioli takes a safety that high. DT, FTMFW.

Hootie 12-27-2009 07:20 PM

Berry with our #1...

QB with our #2...even if we have to use both to trade up to 15-20 to get our guy...

Give Cassel a shot at redemption...but if he fails, at least we are grooming the future...if we get a QB in the mid-late 1st round...it's like paying for a decent backup QB anyways...

Low risk/high reward move to ensure we might actually end up with a franchise QB for once.
