Late to the party (softball doubleheader last night), but I wanted to say... that's the difference an elite closer makes.

Runner on 3rd, nobody out, one-run lead? It's cool. I got this.

Royals should definitely still trade Santana, considering what the market price is for pitchers of his caliber this year,and should explore a trade for Holland.

I love Holland, but you have to at least explore moving him, especially when the bullpen is still a relative strength.

Santana + Hoch for Bogaerts; what, in your opinion, do we have to throw in to make that work duncan?

Holland for Castellanos; what do we have to throw in to make that work?

I'm not sure the bullpen would be much of a strength without Holland at this point. Collins, Herrera, and Crow have all struggled this year.

Considering Boegaerts is a 20-year-old crushing it at AAA (800 OPS), I'd think you'd have to ship Santana and Holland to Boston to even get in the conversation, and even then, probably not enough.

You might have to include Ventura to make that work.
