I mean how dare I think a team with the 2nd best RB in the league and a 30 year old QB that has actually been to the playoffs/on a Super Bowl team not have a WIN now window with 8 pro bowlers and a bunch of guys making 10+ million on their contracts.

I should just conform and hope the Chiefs use this year as a transition year to rebuild for the year 2022 instead.

How much else do they need?

I don't know, that's my question. Why build through the draft if you are a couple steps away?

You're going to end up looking back on a guy like Jamaal Charles career, the best RB in Chiefs history and say

"Man what a great player, it's a shame the Chiefs pissed away his entire career on a bunch of transition years to rebuild for 8 ****ing years towards the year 2018"

Jarius Byrd would have won that playoff game last year. After that, who knows? It's a whole hell of lot better than what we've seen for the past 20 years.

Why can't you get said pieces thru the draft?

I don't remember you being this high on our roster last year. Strange.

I just admitted that, like two pages back. If you knew how to read you would have already seen that.

This team's job, to me as a fan, was to to sell me on that Alex Smith trade going forward post the Matt Cassel era. Andy Reid's offense and Alex Smith as a QB, and a real NFL starting caliber player, did just that.

They marketed it that to me as a fan, and I want to cheer for it. How dare I not want them to win. I'm a terrible fan. Guess I should just cheer for them being just like Seattle in the year 2075, when we build toward that window instead.

I think had any of the injured guys not gotten injured we probably win that game.

Hell, knife Davis staying upright probably wins that game

It could be argued all they really needed was a FS.

Then they decided to let walk/release two starting offensive linemen, a starting defensive lineman and a slot WR.

They created holes we didn't have in January, and expect to fill them with guys who couldn't beat out the apparently unimportant players we let walk.

So why didn't they get any of those pieces in their first draft then?

That's the thing, how much does a said core need around it? Guess that's the big question

This is the biggie...

I think it's pretty obvious what kind of a supporting cast Alex Smith needs...

And we haven't taken a big step backwards. A few good picks and scrap moves and we could easily be as good if not better than last year.

ROFL Absolute BS! You'll convince yourself the sky is purple...
You're expecting the Chiefs to hit on every draft pick and no way in hell that's gonna happen. We're also short a # 2 which makes it even harder...

Come on.

Of all the guys that walked, Maybe 1 created a hole at eh that can't be filled internally (apparently they feel it can).

Schwartz couldn't beat out asamoah, but ended up being better.

Maybe guys weren't ready last year, but are now.

It jus seems there's a lot of "sucks we lost this player, creates a hole" when said players were constantly chastised while they were here
