Ok.

Huh.

Like....so where is a hipster place in KC then by that definition.

I agree with this definition but think its funny because nobody uses it like that anymore. Its like....totally lost meaning.

Yes it's true. Hipster has lost it's meaning, because it is just virtually anyone between the ages of 17 and 24 years old.

Taqueria Mexico on rainbow (right on the corner of rainbow and southwest blvd) is pretty good.

El Fogon has great meats, as well.

El Salvadoreno is also awesome.

Fogon has some good pollo asada and the chorizo is banging

A hipster is anyone who isn't wearing dad jeans like me.

I had a great BBQ late lunch/early dinner this weekend at a local joint in here in Northern VA called Dixie Bones. http://dixiebones.com/

Their St Louis Ribs melt in your mouth and fall off the bone better than most baby backs I've had.

Had 1/2 rack (6) bones; 1/2 lb of BBQ brisket, which is very good but not as good as most in KC or Texas; muddy spuds ; coles slaw ; cornbread-which sucked. Washed it down with a Legend Porter.

^^^ looks ok to me but what are muddy spuds? looks like grits or smashed spuds and butter on the plate.

Any of y'all been to some of the BBQ joints in Memphis? As a KC native, I don't like them as much as the best spots in KC, but there are some pretty incredible BBQ restaurants here.

BBQ Shop (pork sandwich on Texas toast; BBQ spaghetti)
Central BBQ (ribs, BBQ nachos)
Elwood's Shack (brisket, tacos)

On and on.

To me hipster place is some dumpy dive where a bunch of kids that think they are smart sit around and talk art and lit while holding down jobs at some shit hole. All the while spending cash their parents give them on nautical tats.
