Justin Houston said he talked to DJ and Tamba Hali one and off throughout the process.

Bitch about everything constantly then say "It's all good, I'm happy to be wrong" when it's established that you were just talking out your ass.

Per Terez Paylor

Justin Houston said he received a call on Tues during his workout that he needed to come to KC. “They wouldn’t fly me out here for nothing."

I know folks still don't love the Dee Ford deal, but the idea of having these two absolute missiles manning the OLB posts for the next 4 years is damn exciting.

And this absolutely obliterates the idea that they drafted Ford to avoid paying Houston.

Supposedly, they'll need about $2.5 million for injured players (whatever that's supposed to mean). So if they have $5.5 million left, they could sign Mathis (even though I'm opposed to it) or trade for Kendricks (which would be awesome) or just roll it over into next year's cap.

Please God....let them trade for Kendricks.

It's too bad Ford isn't more of a physical specimen and able to play strong side on all 4 downs. I'd love to see what Houston could do with a full season rushing from the blind side.

I'm not high on Ford but I definitely think he could become an excellent pass rusher.

I'm not worried about that, I'm worried about him in the running game...

I never thought it myself, but I'm not sure it's that far out of left field. You could certainly argue that they may have done that kind of thing with Fisher and Albert. Myself, though, I always thought Ford was Hali's replacement (for age, not $$$).

I don't think anyone thought that.

The only thing that was possible is throwing Ford to the other side if we lost Houston. No one wanted that to happen...
