We had 422 total yards on offense

N. Foles
16-22, 223 YDS, 2 TD

Oakland chiefs

406 yards

A. Smith
19-22, 224 YDS no touch downs

Cant argue math Indy was this offenses best game.

We won both games. Yardage DOES NOT MATTER. WINS matter. At the end of the season they don't send teams to the playoffs based on the number of yards their QB threw for.

http://www.espn.com/nfl/statistics/p...6/seasontype/2

Top 5 in passing yards this season:

Drew Brees - not making playoffs

Matt Ryan - will likely make playoffs

Phyllis Rivers - not making playoffs

Kirk Cousins - could make playoffs, but probably not

Andrew Luck - not making playoffs

QBs likely to make playoffs:

Brady - #29

A. Smith - #27

Carr - #7

Seimian - #23

Flacco - #14

Osweiler - #26

Prescott - #18

Wilson - #11

Clearly passing stats don't correlate to making the playoffs.

And I said who gives a shit? QB numbers mean very little as far as being a playoff team, and I PROVED IT. The best teams in the league have QBs with mediocre numbers.

You should go seek medical attention. You have to be pushing four hours.

I'm not even arguing at this point I'm actually astonished that people can look so blindly on stats and just say we win or Alex plays better in playoffs That's not a realistic view.

Brady has been suspended for the better part of the season.

It's not about stats. However it is about making plays. QB's will in all likelihood have to step up and be a big part of a win to get through the playoffs. Even in the years where QBs who aren't elite won it happened. Flacco played the best football of his life when the Ravens won and they needed him to. They also needed luck. Same thing with the Giants. Eli made some incredible throws in those SB's to beat NE twice. He also had that luck.

If KC expects to get past NE, and possibly beat a SEA, they will need Smith to really step up in those games. No matter how SEA is playing now, I expect them and NE to be incredibly tough to beat in the playoffs. You aren't beating them by just playing not to lose, which is absolutely how I thought we played against NE last year. I hated how that game played out and the game plan the coaches had.

Also, while your post on QB yards bears out your point well, listing Brady as 27th and implying that as part of your support is a little disingenuous. I would have thrown an asterisk on that one.

We've seen Alex Smith play better in the playoffs than the regular season. It is not out of the question.
