How many of those guys they've let go have been really missed?

They've done a great job of cutting ties with guys at the right time/$ point.

Outside of Charles that is.

I'd argue they missed the playoffs in 14' because of the shit cap handling. Jackson or Sanders would have really helped the offense. It was laughable how they ran out McGlyn, Linkenbach, and Fulton as the guards.

I didn't lIke the Charles contract, Dorsey is lucky Bowe is a dumbass, Colquitt was way overpaid, paying a QB to throw 17 mil for 15 tds is ridiculous, Bailey hasn't done shit since being extended, Jaye Howard wasn't good last year.

Maybe I'm just annoyed this team is good enough to make the playoffs and that's it but it's hard to kiss a guys ass who's won 1 playoff game going into year 5 while watching the board put its faith into drafting Patrick Mahomes.

Forgot about this one. 7 snaps in the playoff game. Ridiculous.

The contract stuff is always going to be hit and miss like that, looking around the league.

They've drafted and developed and for the most part got their money's worth.

Now they've built the roster up, they've gotta take the next step. Well see.

We were in a really difficult situation with Ford and Houston.

Hard to really blame Dorsey on that one.

This is a boss move. "Larry" was playing good football the second half of the year and is still improving at a fast pace.

This is going to be a huge bargain deal when the $ kicks in.

I won't be surprised if Erics deal is done tonight and is announced Wendesday.

Next year we can get out of DJ, Tamba, and Alex's deal and create $30 million in cap room. We are fine.

The deal doesn't effect the 2017 cap in any way

How about halfway through last season? Cause Larry was pretty good after that...

Also, this line has a chance to be damn good if they stay in the weight room this offseason and improves their functional strength. Every starter on this line is very smart and uses good technique. They all need to get stronger if the running game is going to improve, though.

If they stay dedicated in the weight room this offseason, they can be vastly improved next year. Especially if Ehinger comes back improved.

Plus, we are currently already set at $30 million for 2018. In a solid spot after this year but they have to have a QB ready to take over next season.

The deal with Larry isn't just about the stats. He's similar to Berry in that he has a role that can't be measured in stats. He plays with a mean streak and has a nasty disposition. Reid likes to have a tone setter like him on the line. It goes all the way back to when he started his HC career with Jon Runyan.
