He's one of the worst Offensive Linemen I have ever seen.

Why give them a 5th rounder when the Browns would of literally gave him away for free? He sucks ****ing shit.

penbrook 08-30-2017 01:58 PM

We only keep 8 OL. So will it be Fisher, Witzman, Morse, LDT, Schwartz, Erving, Ehringer, and Fulton. Reid can get cut

This year then next right? Like I said he may not be ready by the time his deal ends.

Erving probably wouldn't of made it through the waiver wire

No, he would not have made it through waivers.

There's a serious dearth of offensive lineman in the NFL and nearly every team is feeling the crunch, which was exacerbated by a poor draft.

Remember how funny it was when Bucs fans were excited about getting Ryan Sims for a 6th? Jah Reid has been hot garbage so far this year, but we have seen him display a level of competence in the past that Cam Erving hasn't.

That said, based on potential, I don't hate it. I just don't think he's a solution to anything right away.

In a perfect world, Erving doesn't see the field in 2017

Send him in to block for Alex, Mahomes takes over in New England. I see right through Veach ;)

I'd rather trade for Erving on a cheap ass contract for a 5th than sign Donald Stephenson for $5 million per ****ing year.

Erving sucks ass from what I saw of him during his rookie season. He had too many plays that looked like this:

Didn't pay attention to him beyond that so idk how much he has improved since then, if at all.

Or draft 25 year old Garrett Bolles with the #20 overall pick

I guess it depends on each teams respective cap situation. Both players are terrible, but if I had the cap space I'd much rather keep my 5th rounder and sign Stephenson.

(Stephenson is only making $2.5M by the way)

He was one of the best OL FSU had produced in a few years. He has the measurables and size and he is apparently a smart young man.

I'll say it again: trust the coaching staff.

Ron Parker, Jaye Howard, LDT, Fulton has been a decent backup, Spencer Ware etc. FFS Dee Ford ran the wrong ****ing way as a rookie and just had a double-digit sack season.

The Chiefs have a top tier coaching staff.
