Quit wasting our time with this foolishness.

It's a total longshot. But if I'm being totally foolish, Kingsbury is fighting to keep his job. Going to the NFL as an assistant isn't a bad career move and nobody thinks he'll start as anything more than a qbs coach. If he gets fired from ttech, his options aren't great. If he spends a year or two in a good NFL system his resume is boosted big time.

You dont know real people from a Hollywood high colonic, fact is people like you hate your own families, and would like to assume you didnt even come from them... your consistent opinions on the midwest make that very clear

Its a good thing you're out there now, because you'd be a stranger in a strange land back home, you'd basically be an alien

'No offense, but you dont know shit!'

Yeah thanks for that, its appreciated

I trust our other coaches to handle the mechanics. What intrigues me is adding a guy who understands air raid and maybe helps consult reid on how to incorporate it into his offense. Complete long shot. But would be badass to put him in Childress' chair.

The Jets took WCO and added lots of air raid. If it made McCown look explosive, it's exciting to think about what it could do for mahomes.

I don’t mean to sound like a downer but you know the AirRaid originated from the WCO?

What specifically from the AR do you think the Jets added?

He would have to truly feel it would be a fast track to an NFL HC gig. Not exactly a good bet with the stigma that comes with the Air Raid offense in the NFL.

There isn't a stigma in the NFL anymore. The Jets ran it successfully. So much so that gruden, an offense guru, wanted to poach John morton off of the Jets staff. The patriots also use a lot of air raid. As reid did with the spread and RPO, he will consider how you do this within an NFL offense.

Speaking as a Tech person here...

None of us are convinced Kliff ever wanted to be a head coach. It was pretty much forced on him by the enthusiasm of the fanbase and boosters. His seat is extremely hot at this point. It would be stunning if he survives beyond 2018. Jett Duffey is gonna have to turn into Pat Mahomes out of nowhere for Kliff to keep his job at Tech.

Kliff doesn't like the recruiting or administrative stuff that the head coach is responsible for. I think he is much more suited for NFL where you just coach the players.

All of that said...why the hell would the Chiefs want him? Haha. If anything, I feel Pat needs a fresh set of eyes to help him develop. Kliff took him as far as he could.

Again, not to be too much of a downer but a lot of the “Pats used the AR” stuff is overblown.

They still use the same OL splits/calls/protections used when Weis was there, along with route combos. The only (afaik) AR additions the Pats used since switching to McDaniels is a propensity to run the ball out of the gun and reduce the amount of dig/comeback concepts that are E/P staples. They did utilize much more gun and empty (which I suppose can be attributed to the AR) but they were already running their heavily featured concepts (slant/flat, double slant, etc).

Awesome that we are on track to hire Britt Reid as the new defensive coordinator if Sutton is fired.

BlackOp 01-10-2018 01:17 AM

So a RB coach...an animated motivator is now a offensive tactician/strategist/mastermind? Maybe my personal trainer should be promoted to lead engineer in designing the treadmill I use.

Reid and his traveling puppet show....barf.

He is just following orders...keeping KC with a built in excuse for failure. He's removed anyone who would oppose him....or the agenda.

I don't know offense as well as you do so as always interested to hear your thoughts. Only saw the Jets a few times. Mostly from the Chiefs game. I thought the offense showed a lot of Payton influence. A bit of shotgun, run n shoot, and receivers with route flexibility like with four verts. I know lots of offenses have some air raid sprinkled in. But it just seemed to me like with McCown, maybe to simplify the offense for him or because of Morton's influence, seemed to lean on it a bit more.

He won't hire a QB coach either

HC,OC and QB coach is too much for any single person and our team is suffering from it.

Don't forget that Veach is Andy's handpicked GM; Andy is now the judge, jury, and executioner.

This doesn't appear to be very good at all.

It's really more what Nagy hasn't done...

He hasn't proven inept at clock management and/or situational football over almost 2 straight decades of failing to correct the same obvious mistakes...

For starters.

DaneMcCloud 01-10-2018 09:16 AM

Darrell Bevell is available.

Get him, Andy.

TigeRRUppeRRcut 01-10-2018 09:23 AM

As long as he is aggressive and can tell Andy to quit it with the cute shit
