Huge issue. I think a lot of youth soccer has even stopped allowing headers. Which means the future of us soccer is pretty ****ed

Yup, right idea wrong example. There are lot of fast and quick as hell basketball and football players especially who might be excellent if they committed to soccer at a young age. Hard to think of good examples because the game is so different. Just the point that our best athletes are often focusing on different sports. Other countries, their best athletes start playing soccer in the womb.

Nah, there's an age below which the size and weight of the ball is greater proportional to the head and neck. Though many can head safely, there is at least an argument for banning it in recreational play.

But by your mid-teens, a regulation ball poses no risk for a healhy individual to knowingly strike with their head.

There's still danger in being blindsided by a ball strike, or a point-blank strike. But the kind of headers where you return a goalkeeper's volley or try to redirect a ball in the box is just fine.

Yeah, I oversold that a little bit. I'm just of the mindset that sports comes with inherent dangers. I'm not a fan at all of limiting the game and the soccer coaches I've talked to think it's teaching kids bad soccer habits early. I

Pepe gonna Pepe.

If you don't know, he's a dirty player AND he's well known for doing stuff like that. He also looked like an alien when he had a shaved head a few eyars back.

Had that been your shoulder that was tapped I'm sure that you would be singing a different tune. Red jersey #5 should have been given a red card

Rooting for Peru to kick ass vs. France. I do do want FRANCE to advance

Clyde Frog 06-21-2018 09:05 AM

That Spain game yesterday was so frustrating to watch. Iran is ****ing garbage and would never make the WC if they didn't get to qualify through Asia. The play acting, cheating and time wasting was so cringy. I've seen teams outmatched and still go down swinging but having 11 players in the box and then not even trying to counter, just booting the ball up the field on every dispossession? How big are their gaping vaginas? It was the most pathetic "effort" I've ever seen at the world stage.

OTOH, Belgium looks really good. They have a litany of starters, in their primes, who are either the best in the world or top 5 in the world at their positions. Unless FIFA interferes I completely expect to see them in the finals.
