That twitter comment by a native-american Chiefs fan pretty much ends this silly argument. The chop is a team tradition and has no hidden political message behind it.

I see the Star is doubling down on their SJW bullshit hit pieces.

I hope that paper burns, literally and figuratively.

With any luck, they’ll be out of business when the Chiefs hoist the Lamar Hunt trophy.

I agree with the Star! Let's blow kisses instead to both teams and replace the football with a balloon. It's time to be kind! Also the CHIEFS should change their name to the CHEFS after the great people of KC and their BBQ. The CHEFS logo would be a open GRILL with a few steaks with BBQ sauce dripping and smoke rising from it.

All of the Arrowhead South chapters avoid controversies. No religion or political talk etc. But............. we have always encouraged the chop. Doing the chop with a room full of people after a score is fun. It unites and shares our excitement about the Chiefs.

I've asked some of our Chief fans over the years with native American ancestry about it, none were upset. We are not going to stop doing the chop.

Wait, you don’t think Irish Americans have been extensively discriminated against in this countries history? Educate yourself. Look up the know nothing movement.

Note-I’m not claiming the Irish had it anywhere nearly as bad as the NA’s, but that’s not the point. The point is there IS a history of discrimination against the Irish in this country, and you don’t hear them complaining.

100 years ago when immigrants were fleeing famine in Ireland and taking American jobs. But now, the Irish have it easy today. The vast majority want to be of Irish ancestry. Being Irish is in no way a negative in America today.
