There are plenty of guys playing at a Pro Bowl level well into their 30's on the O-line and Kelce's nearly as serious about training and regimen as Gonzalez was during his playing days.

Sure, I'm just saying we surely won't be keeping everyone not to mention we lose all these 1 year deals and have several prime cut candidates after this year.

Schwartz might retire after next year and focus on cooking shows, who knows, I think Kelce will rework his deal to stay with Pat in KC and end his career here. As long as Veach doesn't try to low ball him.

Dude, they're Vet Minimum deals.

If Breeland meets all of his incentives up to $4.5 million, the Chiefs won't need to that cap space until later this season.

Robinson's deal reportedly included the use of the Veteran Salary Benefit or VSB, which allows a team to use $1.25 million of cap space for up to two players that have been with the team for 4 years or more.

From my understanding of what I've read, Robinson's $2.2 million dollar deal exercised part of that money and Sherman's exercised part of part of that money so their respective cap hits are Veteran's Minimum.

I understand that, but we're strapped up against the cap like no other right now.

We will have to cut someone significant, extend Jones, or trade Jones to make this work.

This is pretty incredible deal, brings the starting outside corners back, gives draft freedom, lets you take a CB in the draft to play in the rotation for a year and hopefully take a starting spot the following year.

Breeland was the guy I was hoping we’d re-sign.

If we can get Jones under contract our victory will be complete.

Yep this.

DaneMcCloud 04-09-2020 03:42 PM

I’ll never understand why so many of you guys worry about the salary cap

It also would be nice if we have enough money to sign our first round pick.

That's pretty great news. Glad they were able to keep Watkins and Breeland. Surprising twist on both guys.

Veech is setting this up for the long run. 1 year deals. If they ball out- we can resign them again or get comp picks in the next draft.

Who wouldn't want to be o the same team as Mahomes?
