If he’s your swing T this year and your starting RT for the following 3 years, it still works out better than wasting a year of his contract last year while he was still recovering.

Mahomes is a God. Really all he needs is one side of the line to hold. If one side or the middle collapses, he's out and wrecking ****ing pussies on the on run. It's when both sides and the middle shit the bed when Mahomes is rendered ineffective.

I think our run blocking will greatly improve. I just would rather us be able to run/screen alot more. I do not want to see Mahome running for his life like he has had to recently.

One of those reasons is because toward the end of last year (Injuries I know) no one was threatened by our run game. We couldn't slow the pass rush down for shit.

And regardless of injuries had we had a semblance of a run game we would have had more success.

Who said Mahomes is going to be running for his life behind this OL?

This OL is a way better pass blocking OL than the one we lined up with at the SB and even for the majority of the season.

The thought process is as follows:

-Great run blocking will lead to a more successful running game
-Great running game will lead to less pass rushing sets
-Good Pass protecting is all Mahomes needs if the defense isn't ****ing rushing all the time.

You can have GREAT pass blocking all you want, but without a run game you will still get murdered based on numbers.
