I was just thinking about that for teleworkers with that situation! I bet that's much nicer.

I actually prefer the Pacific time for football, however. I go to bed so early that Sun/Mon night games put me past my bedtime. LOL. But I prefer the Mountain time for stock trading (7:30 open as opposed to 6:30).

Pacific has been great for everything but work and even that's not too bad.

Nearly everyone on my team is usually out of the office by 2:30-3:00 my time which is kind of nice.

As a resident of the most frozen shithole in the group you referred to, I can unequivocally tell you, that you’re not wrong.

As soon as parents realize permanent DST means 4 months of their kids walking to school in the dark they will undo the change back to switching twice per year.

Standard is the only thing that makes sense.

I am a fan of daylight savings time. If they stop doing it, then it will have more light out in the morning and I'll have to wash golf carts earlier in the morning which would be no bueno.

happy DST end.

I get so excited for the extra hour of sleep I cannot sleep.

Sunset 5 pm

God I forgot about that. Lived in MN for one long ass year. Told my wife, when the ground is thawed enough to get the moving truck up the hill I’m loading it and going as far south as possible. Been in Florida ever since, and my next move will be the Caribbean. But I forgot how early it gets dark there compared to here during this time of year. I watch games that are being played in Fixboro in December at 5 and I’m like, it’s still sunny and bright here. Don’t miss MN one bit. The cold there is just too much for my thin blooded ass.

Also I thought Florida voted to get rid of the time change, but they never implemented it. Or maybe I’m just misremembering.

Not looking real promising. The house needs to pass it, but apparently there's a debate over which time to make permanent, even though DST has a significant majority of votes in polling. Shockingly, politics getting in the way of the will of the people.

Bowser 11-06-2022 10:58 AM

Keep it lighter later. It's really just that easy.

DST all the way.

I want that extra hour of light at the end of the day. That's playtime outside with the kids.

I will admit it kind of sucks to have it dark until 8am, but I'm willing to live with that.

notorious 11-06-2022 11:01 AM

Can we do a poll, Tits?

What kids walk to school these days? I thought parents got the cops called on them if they didn't have their kids on a leash.

Kids should be starting the school day later anyway and as pointed out above, not as many walk to school as they used to.

Daylight savings year round.
