It’s rough, the worst I’ve been through.

I'm hoping they fly north along the east side of the hurricane because I have a window seat on the left side of the plane.

I was waiting to see two guys walk through the shot behind him like nothing was happening.

Really hard to take that clown seriously after seeing that.

When, not if, that sign comes loose. Oof.

There is video of Cantore in a wind tunnel. He made it to about 105-110.

We've got friends who live in Punta Gorda, just north of Ft. Myers. Looks like they're right in the middle of it.

The Navy was amazingly unhelpful to them and basically did nothing. They ended up staying in our living room for two weeks until alternate housing was found for them.

I visited Charleston a couple of years later. There was still a ton of damage that hadn't yet been repaired. That one was definitely not overhyped.

The Navy has never been as friendly to the member's family as other branches. Like the grumpy CMC says, "if the Navy wanted you to have a wife they'd have put one in your seabag..."

As for Charleston, by the time it was all done, it was much better. One nice thing about a hurricane is that it tends to destroy some structures that many people would love to see destroyed and gotten rid of anyway.
