Fyi, Chiefs are 17-1 after the bye since Mahomes became the starter.

Trey Wingo must've misquoted the stat: <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/mhUmL4rLG1w" title="Game Preview with Trey Wingo | Chiefs vs. Jaguars" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

Okay, I had to relisten to what Trey actually said.
So, the stat is "in the last three seasons after the bye, in a game in which Mahomes started, the Chiefs are 17-1." The loss in 2020 doesn't count because Henne started that week 17 game in 2020. So that's accurate. He's just basically trying to say that after the bye, if Mahomes starts, the Chiefs are really hard to beat. The only team that has beaten a Mahomes-led Chiefs team after the bye in the last three years has been CIN last season. that's actually kind of impressive. Not sure why he arbitrarily picks the last three seasons, but whatever. |

I didn't even realize the 17-1 part because I was immediately confused about "after the bye" when the bye was 2 weeks ago. Everything about that made no sense. Also, I do not mean this in a mean way at all, but I've noticed it too. Something definitely seems off. |
This discussion happened last week as well. That stat is for all games post-bye week, not just the game following it.

I have 16-1.
Last year, Mahomes was 5-1 after the bye week. In 2020, 6-0. In 2019, 5-0. |
