He even started playing the same song all day long, for 16 hrs out of the day! Sad part is, we always got along up to this point, I used to mow his yard for him.....But this incident flipped him out, he put No Trespassing signs on the trees, paid for a survey crew to mark his property and has put up a fence between us, all within his rights.

Is your neighbor Clay? Sounds like Clay.

Have we signed this pipe of shit yet?

Here’s what you have to do Roy….

Wait until his old lady is out back in a bikini. Call her out to the yard, when that pit bull notices that Wookiee fro in her short pants, bark from the side of your mouth and turn that pit loose on that panty Yorker.

Boom. Now we are ready to discuss it a resolution.

Better yet, commission III to save the family honor and put a baby in her back porch pipe.

Do people actually believe this? I mean, yeah, some pits are bred to fight but I don't believe they are genetically inclined for this behavior. The problem, in my view, is that pits are just one of the most powerful breeds and have the capability to kill another dog moreso than other breeds. But I've also seen plenty of those yipper dogs that are the root cause of the issue but the pit gets blamed for it. I have know pitts that I would not trust around other pets. I have also known pits that are good dogs around other pets.

I remember a buddy had a couple of German Shepherds that murdered the neighbor's cat. Well, I guess if your cat (or dog) is roaming off your property, that is the chance you take.

Another story I remember that happened I think near Manhattan, KS about 25 years ago. This couple had 3 rotweilers and they got free and killed a kid waiting on a bus. Again, powerful breeds like that are capable of killing other pets or even humans. But most (99%) of the time, it's the fault of the owner.

And sometimes, like what is being described in this story, it is partly the fault of the other dog owner. I think people with yippers allow bad behavior simply because they are small dogs. But that behavior should never be allowed. And this time, unfortunately for everyone, that caused the dog to get killed.

This sounds like the screenplay for John Wick 5

Can it be annoying? Yes but that's an issue that's easily fixable.

What isn't fixable is when a bad dog owner lets their lunatic dog out of the house and it kills one of those other dogs.

Honestly OP should have his sewer line taken away as punishment and be forced to use an outhouse.

Sounds like the lunatic dog you speak of did not leave the property. It was his other dog that left the property. Look, I'm not letting Roy off the hook for his dog roaming around. But I don't see why anyone else in this thread thinks that yipper dog going into Roy's grandson's dog's territory is not at least partly at fault. You all don't know that dog would never leave its own property. And I'll bet it has done that before.

But Roy, how can we have a pile on if we don't ignore substantial facts of the situation. :shake:

Dude's dog died, you got fined, dude has a new fence, you fixed something on your property 3 years ago.... everyone except you is 'happy' with that. The only shitty part is the guy acting like a teenage girl with the music and comments and so forth.

The only person who can't be pleased in this thread seems to be you, wanting your neighbor fined for the leash law thing and pay $3750 for something he had zero knowledge of 3 years ago.... it really just makes you sound as petty as he does.

For the record, I don't agree with Roy's stance on the sewer line. And I think they probably did the right thing in not fining the neighboy even though he was technically liable for his dog roaming. I think his dog getting killed was probably enough of a fine.

They're still trend very terrier based genetically and the behavioral issues are quite similar. Alert, chase, grab, kill. We just tend to over look them because of size. If we magically made all Yorkshire Terriors the size of a pit we'd get to watch a hilarious transition within the public's perception of the evil little devils.

I really think a lot of posters here and in the general public, view people that own pitbulls as dipshits by default. It's indicative of poor decision making and that pretty much bleeds over to every other aspect of your life. A lot easier to pile on if you start with that base.
