They didn't mention the OT game where Santos double-doinked the kick through the uprights.

Or the left handed pass by Mahomes.

I can't say I think too much of Sean Payton. His complaint that the shitty play of the Broncos over the last few years doesn't have anything to do with him is a load of crap. If the Broncos were on the brink of beating the Chiefs for the 17th time in a row, he'd be all-in on celebrating that. He's an asshole and doesn't like being reminded that he's in charge of a team that is setting records for pathetic play.

I watched some interviews when I was doing the AI voice for him.

He comes off as a completely fake person.

He has less than 0 charisma. He sucks energy out of a room just by being there.

Much like his coach.

I agree, I never did think much of him before, he had a top 5 QB and never got anywhere. The only real thing I've noticed him accomplish with any success is growing man boobs.

Sean Payton is essentially Mike McCarthy. They have very similar records and neither of them can win without a HOF QB.

Knowmo, any thoughts this season for the Broncos or how the Paton Plan is progressing?

Pepe Silvia 10-27-2023 03:01 PM

QJoe: Payton and the Broncos are going to kick ass this year, they will be much improved.

Isn't this his first year there?

Off seasons, bye weeks and Pro Bowl weeks. Have been more interesting. Than playing the Broncos for the second time in three weeks. Ugh

Nobody is saying he's responsible for anything that happened there before he was in charge. We're saying he took the job and so he has to deal with the mess they have on their hands. Whether he was there for the first 15 games of the losing streak to the Chiefs or not doesn't matter. He's the coach now and the Broncos have lost 16 in a row to the Chiefs. When the Donks finally end that streak he'll be celebrating along with the rest of them, but why do that if he has no ownership of all the previous games?

Because he’s their coach, and that’s considered progress. Also don’t most teams who beat us celebrate?

RealSNR 10-28-2023 09:55 AM

Andy had to take on the cloud of doom surrounding the Chiefs and their historical playoff woes.

You can’t just act like it doesn’t exist, or worse, continue to double down on “This franchise sucked balls before I got here!” when you’ve done nothing to prove you can change it

Right, because he's their coach. So, if they continue a streak of bad crap that started before he became the coach, he has to accept that he's part of it now.

Potential "trap game" tomorrow for many reasons.

Playing a team that is a train wreck in many ways you just played 2 weeks ago with your WR corp struggling to get open in crappy cold weather can be very un-motivating. Knowing you have beat them 16 games in a row and they are due for a win eventually, it is tempting to look more towards the Dolphins game which very likely will be the AFCCG in Arrowhead.

Thank goodness Pat plays well in crappy weather and Travis owns the Broncos 2ndary:thumb:
