Charlie Hennigan was the last guy. He was the guy that I would have guessed after knowing that it happened, but I wouldn't have guessed that anyone had done it back then.

Apparently Elroy Hirsch also did it in 1951 and Don Hutson did it in 1942.

Hutson must have broken the league back when he was playing. He's still a top-20 guy in receiving touchdowns, and he was playing against guys like Bronko Nagurski and Sammy Baugh.

The only other players to reach 1,000 yards by Week Eight were Elroy “Crazy Legs” Hirsch in 1951 and Don Hutson in 1942.
