I bet they announce the new Chase deal on Thursday night, just a couple minutes after kickoff for the Chiefs & Ravens game.

Chase is getting at minimum $35 mill per, which, including home alone kid's annual salary, ties up roughly 39% of the overall team cap. Surely numbers can be spread around but you get the general idea that the bungholes are soon approaching faulked territory.

Does anything else matter? He's not healthy enough to win one...yes. The defense isn't good enough..yes. Your WRs aren't happy...yes. Will you win a title with all that...no

I still say there no way in hell he doesn't play against us. New deal or no new deal his hate for us will win out. He will play.

You are closer to the Browns than the Chiefs

I don't know why the Bengals don't just trade Chase for picks. The Chiefs have shown the league that it doesn't pay to give any one player too big of a piece of the pie. That said, I think the cap is going to explode and all of these big contracts will be meaningless.
