I think the Ravens probably win, I just hope it's close. Really want whoever wins to have absolutely emptied the tank.

Fellas, this shit is hard.

No matter who we get, it's going to be a tough matchup.

Nobody has ever done what KC is trying to do. There's a dozen or more reasons for that.

I'm just going to enjoy the ride.

ptlyon 01-17-2025 07:22 AM

I still say whomever scores the most wins.

Change my mind.

Sip.

ptlyon 01-17-2025 07:25 AM

Hell, if we piss pound Houston too badly, each team may just say F it and try to lose.

If that's the case, my money is on Baltimore visiting us.

And if the Chiefs win, there are no wrong answers Sunday night in Buffalo.... just looking forward to one of the few heavyweight match ups.

Buffalo wins... LOL, Regular Season MVP Lamar (which probably comes with a meltdown, yay!), and another epic Allen/Mahomes showdown for the AFCCG Invitational.

Baltimore wins... LOL, Bills Mafia, and IMO probably the better match up for the Chiefs.

This week both the Ravens and Bills are being hyped as "heavyweights" and folks are struggling to pick a winner. It just makes me sit back and cherish what we achieved last year on the way to the superbowl. Especially with those offensive pieces Pat had to work with. Just incredible.

All we can do is focus on Houston in the meantime.

On the whole, I'd rather face the Bills because their defense is somewhat suspect and has been propped up by turnovers, which are flukey and can disappear quickly.

But, if it's an Overtime situation and we have to have a stop, I'd rather face Lamar and the Ravens than Josh Allen.

Me focusing on the game, because it's important that I focus on the Texans!!!!!

Bills-Ravens: win-win, lose-lose

This weekend definitely sets up as a nice comfy Chiefs victory where next weekend we play a physically and emotionally drained team and everyone complains about our luck.

RaidersOftheCellar 01-17-2025 12:27 PM

With Watson/Omenihu back in the fold and Johnson on the bench, in a roaring Arrowhead, I'd expect to contain Buffalo's offense better than last time. They caught the Chiefs when the defense was at its worst. I'd also expect Playoff Mahomes and the new Chiefs offense to pick their defense apart.

Buffalo seems really similar to the version KC faced in the divisional last year. Which would've probably been a comfortable win if not for Hardman's goal line fumble.

I think Baltimore's the tougher matchup. They're as good or better than Buffalo offensively, and much better defensively of late. People can talk about Spags' success vs Lamar, but Jackson's better than ever and played well in Arrowhead this year. The Chiefs won by an inch, when Baltimore's defense was struggling.

I think the Ravens win this. I would actually prefer the Bills just for the lol in the AFC Championship.
Chiefs just need to take care of tomorrow and stomp the Texans.

Two different matchups. In terms of degree of difficulty, I think they're about the same although for different reasons.

Still feel the same way.
