Look at the 2024 Chiefs wiki page, bottom of the first paragraph

Schefter yesterday posts a tweet showing numbers for Mahomes penalties. His tweet says "“For all those complaining that Patrick Mahomes gets too many calls, relief soon could be on the way,”

Then he goes on TV today and claims he didn't mean to suggest anything, he's just posting facts :"“The facts are the facts and I presented the facts,” Schefter said. “There was zero—let me be very clear about that—zero intent behind that. I’m a little surprised that people are so offended with factual information. There was zero agenda.”

Just unreal. This is the state of sports "journalism".

A prominent politician once warned that if you win too much, you may eventually get tired of it.

At this point I can confidently say I fully reject that hypothesis.

I am not even close to getting tired of all the winning!

Must have lost some $$$$ betting against KC again.

What he doesn't tell you is that if you stop at the 6 second mark, that Buffalo receiver is down by contact (look at his left elbow) & then tries to lunge across the line of gain. The officials DID spot it correctly on that.

I thought Pacheco was down in bounds on the sideline at the end, but it was hard to tell from the angle they showed. But the Chiefs still made another play to put the game away, something other teams should try rather than crying about officiating.

I don’t remember this much crying during the Patriots dynasty? But the first half of it, there wasn’t much social media. People have gotten angrier and angrier as social media has overtaken the world.

petegz28 01-27-2025 09:48 PM

My favorite thing I see after every win...."I am a die hard Chiefs fan but I can't root for this team anymore because of how much the Refs cheat for them"

Anytime you see "I am a Chiefs fan but...." you know it's a ****ing lie

Yep. The idiots of today's world are far more easily triggered, feel validated by the hive mind, and never shut up.

If you're a real Chiefs fan you remember how we were on the receiving end of these close/questionable/bad calls, FOR ****ING EVER. How many times were the likes of Brady, Elway, Manning, Roethlisberger, etc. the beneficiaries of ticky-tack drive extending PI calls against us over the years? How many times were we ****ed over by non-calls on identical plays? Jesus, who could count them all.

History has taught us that the king tends to get those calls. That's just the way it is.

It's good to be the king.

DrunkBassGuitar 01-27-2025 10:22 PM

The whining about the refs is funny in that it totally takes away any agency for the players. If the Bills had won, it wouldn't be because Allen took advantage of a mistake by KC and lead his team to a walk off touchdown, rather it would have been because the refs "caved" to pressure and decided to give the Bills the win. I know people don't think that deeply about it but that's the implication of all the refs are rigging games chat

DrunkBassGuitar 01-27-2025 10:24 PM

Like if I spent all my time since childhood risking injury and practicing to be at an NFL champion level and some nerd pundit was like "oh finally the refs picked the right team" I'd be pretty pissed
