You think the Chiefs should take DRC if he's there at 17?

I'll be happy with Albert or Williams and I think one or both will be there at 17.

I really hope Detroit and Az take a combo of Mendenhall and DRC. We may have a choice of Albert or Williams.

Can you imagine if the Chiefs got Albert this year and one of the LT's next year? Pick up a C and RT later and the O-line could be a strength in two years. |
We are either going CB or OT, can't complain about either one.
|
I guarantee KC will pick OL at 17.

But man, with that body in the middle. He could pave the way for our up-the-gut running mentality. |
I want the KU CB or an OT...

I like Chris Williams but I think Albert woud be the better pick.

Scary thought:
If we don't take a QB in the next 18 hours or so, we're committing to Brodie Croyle for the forseeable future. I'm talking years, not just '08. Risky. |

Grrr. Curse you Chitown.

You may want to consider moving with Detroit for Albert now...
|
The Lions still have a huge need at OT, CB, and HB. This pick will determine if we get Albert or not.
|
ffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucccccccccccccckkkkkkkk
|
So does he play at LT, with Tait moving to the right side?
|
Albert is best available. Best player in the draft and the best guard who be a nice start to the draft.

Briefly comparing the remaining 2 OL's
Jeff Otah
http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/9...ttblockdj6.png OT | (6'6", 322, 5.56) | PITTSBURGH Overall: Otah was born in Nigeria, came to the United States when he was seven years old and did not play organized football until his senior season of high school. He attended Valley Forge (Pa.) Military College in his first two years out of high school (2004-'05), making 17 consecutive starts at left tackle. He also averaged nearly 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Valley Forge basketball team. Otah transferred to Pitt in 2006 and made an immediate impact, starting all 24 games of his junior and senior seasons with the Panthers. He was an All-Big East first team selection in 2007. The Nigerian-born Otah lacks ideal playing experience and is still unpolished. While he is not a great athlete, he is not as slow as his combine workout numbers might indicate, as he participated despite an ankle injury. Otah is a massive mauler with the size, power and ... Branden Albert http://media3.washingtonpost.com/wp-...5092802427.jpg OG | (6'5", 309, 5.169) | VIRGINIA Overall: Albert started all 37 of Virginia's games during his three-year career (2005-07), including two at offensive tackle in 2007. He allowed just one sack and received an All-ACC honorable mention in 2006. He was a first-team All-ACC selection in '07. Bottom line: Albert needs to improve his power at the point of attack and learn to get under defenders' pads. He also is a bit inconsistent when it comes to hitting the moving target as a second level run blocker. However, he is a massive guard with very good short-area quickness and tenacity. He could possibly move to ROT in the NFL but we think he fits best inside at guard, where he should quickly develop into an upper-echelon starter. He could be the top interior offensive lineman selected in 2008 draft no later than the second round. |
