Not to bring this thread down, but I understand Ryan's situation. One of the reasons I don't visit my step dad often and then I feel guilty when I do. Mom died in Dec of 2007 and the house hasn't changed at all.... it's a pretty surreal situation to walk into.

The biggest thing that sucks about third shift is that first night of sleeping normal hours. I can never sleep longer that about 5 hours. Hope I don't end up paying for this at midnight.

So I'm at Bugeaters and he has a guest room with a mattress that is way too firm for my liking. I couldn't sleep from like 12:30 to 2:00 so I took a melatonin and got about an hour of sleep or less and suddenly have pain in both of my legs. I can't sleep. I would blow up my air mattress but I'd wake the whole house. Long story short, as soon as we get to Joes I'm blowing up my mattress and taking a nap.

I drove up to KC yesterday to see a friend I hadn't seen in a while, and he let me crash - in a twin bed that's way too soft.

My neck is killing me. Feels like someone cracked me on the base of the skull with a two-by-four.

Someone else can use it if need be. We'll be at Joes in about 5+ hours. Leaving in 3. Until then I'll sit in the quiet.
