i check into this thread to read updates from the training camp. I never read any updates from you, just derogatory remarks about someone on the roster. I wish the mods would give
you a thread of your own, so people that are interested in your " opinion", could just frequent your thread.

**** it. Where do I sign up to be gay for Bray?

The dude needs to be the QB2 starting this season. Get rid of both buttchin and Stanzi, and find some half-dead veteran in the ditch to be our QB3.

Draft another guy in 2014, open competition in camp, and let the good times roll. Hopefully Bray or the rookie beat out Alice and we can actually move on as a franchise.

OrtonsPiercedTaint 07-28-2013 05:58 PM

Smith will get hurt and Daniel will have his passes knocked down. Stanzi or Bray will have to be ready.

ChiefAshhole20 07-28-2013 06:03 PM

If Bray truly is better than Smith, he will play. This is the same guy who benched his $100 million QB for a rookie, he'll do whats best for the team just trust him.

Right here Bossman:
http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=272676

And I agree he needs to be #2...but he wont. Not with Daniel's BS contract. As long as Bray leaves all the stupid shit behind and keeps progressing I believe there is hope. EVERY review has been positive about how he has done since arriving here. Clearly the 2nd best QB on the roster and the most talented.

Who knows...

Alex Smith = 1st round QB
Tyler Bray = Undrafted

If you ever had a doubt about Tyler Bray's arm strength, you can dismiss those right now. Guy could peel paint off the wall with a football.

My season just got SO much better. I don't care if we do jack OR shit with Smith; we've got an actual tool in the tool shed now.

Bullshit.

Only people raving about Stanzi were the Iowa homers. More people were making the Len Dawson = Brady Quinn comparisons last year.

Try again.

I disagree, but regardless lets get through TC before anointing him the next Tom Brady.

RustShack 07-28-2013 07:38 PM

If Reid does to Smith what Weis did for Cassel then the team is in great shape.

Reid > Weis
Smith > Cassel

Bray is being groomed to take over after Smith, and he will be much better when he's ready.

Mother****erJones 07-28-2013 07:38 PM

I'm not getting all into TC like last year. Still would rather see my boy Bray doing well then "Bray looks like shit during TC". We could tell last year Stanzi sucked. He wasn't reported as doing well from my recollection

Yup.

petegz28 07-28-2013 07:41 PM

I kept saying that Bray was the best pick of the lot but would have to sit a year. The Geno lovers didn't want to hear it and insisted that we take a QB at #1 that ended up going in the 2nd round.

We got a steal with Bray and he will be the QB after Smith as long as he gets his head together.

Don't discount Geno just yet. Yes, he is with the shitty Jets, but if an UDFA can shine in training camp, there's no reason to believe that a guy who's whole reputation is work ethic, smarts, and natural ability can't rise as well.

Look; if Bray was the guy you really, really, really wanted, then props to you for having the foresight to see what I could not. But realize, you are in a VERY small club and that just because some here might have been Reid and Dorsey supporters from the beginning, does NOT buy them( or the Dorseid )bragging rights for Tyler Bray. How much balls does it take to sign a UDFA? None. No risk. At all.
And if they really "saw it", as you claim you did, why not grab him in the 6th or 7th?

It is what it is; pure luck and hopefully of the good variety.

Ya we lucked out in that he slid bc of off the field recreational drug use- even as limited as it was reported, ut really seemed to cause his stock to tumble in the draft unless there were more issues I'm not aware of that caused a pretty hefty mid 1st round slide...

@NFLosophy: .@jaredbarzee One thing I'll say about Bray, he should look good in camp based on skills. It's preseason games where he'll flop or fly.

I thought they actually sound pretty good considering it is the 1st day in pads and he is working with an entirely new set of WR's. Probably going to take a little bit for everyone to get on the same page. Receivers have to adjust to the pads too. Gus, on the other hand, had nearly 4 years with all of his receivers.

And while it is nice to hear Bray is doing well, he is probably not going against the #1 defense either.

I'm the most excited about his progression this season. I think he has the potential to be our best player within 1 to 2 seasons.

Also, this is the season that we should be able to tell what Berry is going to be.

So should we not be smart and lock him up long-term in season and save some cash? I just don't see it as a terribly risky more in what could be a shrewd cap move, barring an injury he's already a very young pro bowl talent, and in the nfl injury is a known risk with any player- which he is not a red flag with some chronic injury history. ... ???

Was at camp on Sunday, and Fisher got dominated by Houston(not really that surprising). But after the play, Reid(who had been watching a different position group) happened to see that play, and walked over and yelled at Fisher "stop holding your hand." (Fisher was holding his hand like it hurt or something) "get back over here and do it again"(players had been rotating in/out). Fisher got beat a second time, and Reid made him do it a third time. Fisher got beat all 3.

Most sports media people are more baseball fans than football fans, from my experience. KK has said in the past, he'd love nothing more than to be able to talk Royals in August and September, and ignore Chiefs TC.

CHENZ A! 07-29-2013 09:45 AM

Stephenson had one play where he dominated the pass rusher(not sure who it was, not Tamba, Houston, Poe, Powe, Jackson, or DeVito) in a 1 on 1 drill, and threw the guy on the ground at the end. One of the coaches came over and talked to him like you can't do that shit out here, save it for opposing teams, and slapped him on the helmet.
