Are we even sure that the Chiefs could have beaten the Texans if Carr hadn't gone down? If Carr was still healthy.....we weren't getting that #2 seed. And I'm not so sure that the Texans would have rolled over.

JFC, the family refuses to draft QBs! And they're not willing to throw a season in anticipation of a bumper crop of potential QBOF college graduates. Yeah, THAT'S what I expect an owner to do. I also expect them to tell the Andy's of the world that they have to do/change certain things, because they're obviously not working. And I also expect the owner to NOT take the Steeler game without a public word. I don't give a shit what he might be doing in private (prolly nothing!), I think most Chiefs fans want to know why those holds weren't called. Rant and rave? No. But you certainly saw Kraft step-up and say something when he thought he was getting ****ed. Yeah, a little of that. |

Seriously, you impress me as the kind of person who would never have spoken poorly of Lamar because he brought the Chiefs to KC and was a big part of the NFL in the 60s and 70s, but now that he's gone you're going to ride Clark's newness until he's old, then untouchable. And was it you that was talking about "he's done everything a person can do...."? Now we're finding out that what he can't do is control an employee and demand that he fix his shortcomings? Like his hands are tired or something? JF man, this is a business, Andy complies or he's gone. And if Andy's the only one who doesn't see his own shortcomings, **** him, he's not coherent enough to keep. EDIT: And perhaps you're just a little too forgiving of our overlord. |

Trading for another retread from SF and sticking with him for too long Not drafting a QB early in the draft |
Quote:
Clark paid top $$ to Pioli and Dorsey, and Reid. When you do that you put faith in their decision making, you don't pay a GM and coach a ton of money then direct them to draft a guy no matter what etc...You tell them to make the best decisions they know how to make to ensure success of the team. Do you honestly think Clark told them here you go, do whatever you want, I don't care if we win a SB, or draft a QB? You and GloryDayze are the perfect example of the know it all fan who thinks they could own a team when you couldn't run a 7-11 and have never likely managed, hired, or fired anyone on your life. You know what a good owner in the NFL does? He writes big fat ass checks to the best people you can hire and if it doesn't work you shit can them and find someone else, and Clark has been doing that. You guys are clueless. |
Coach of the year. CP knows dick about football.
|
Quote:
If Andy doesn't want to get rid of Alex and draft his own QB in the near future, then he needs to be fired plain and simple. This is a business and simply "making the playoffs" isn't good enough anymore. It's time to start taking the next step and achieving the goal. If you aren't making steps to achieve your goal, you're stagnant. |

As for the cheap insults, just stop. We know as much about football as you do. Hell we know enough about it to know that 47 years is alarming, and that the status quo isn't going to get it done. And if you think anecdotal moves isn't the status quo, and that forcing Andy to change or let him walk isn't what a manager does to an employee, you must not be in management. At some point as a supervisor you have to step in and help en employee, even if they don't think thy need it. And with the looks of strength of schedule "47" might very well turn into "48." The excuse mill might need to start early and be greased often! Why, because we have Andy back with all of his bad habits not being compensated for, along with his cast of goons, and Alex wearing his QBOTF ribbon. I hope Andy is secretly reading this, getting really mad, and decides to secretly change "just to show Glorydayz"! I'd love to eat crow while watching my hometown Chiefs at next year's SB! **** Hunt! |
Quote:
Nothing in my comments is in reference to your "football" knowledge. It has more to do with your irrational, emotional, lunatic fringe point of view. Clark is doing what he needs to be doing. Period. You just simply don't like the guy we all know this. I do have to laugh at the strength of schedule comment. Every single year that is thrown out and turns out to be wrong 90% of the time. |
Quote:
I was happy when they got Andy, but it's obvious that's no working out. Partly because they won't force him to accept some tweaks to his style, but either way, it's not working. Heck, I wasn't upset when they got Alex, but this many years later it's pretty clear he's not going to end the streak! So don't say I don't like the guys when they started, I just don't have to sit here and take their unwillingness to change. And I'm really pissed about Clark not making any public statements about the missed holds after the last game. **** him, those were terrible misses by a crew that's not adverse to calling holds and DPI. Clark has no pride IMO, or he's say something, anything, to let us know he's pissed too. The truth is he the young owner, and the other owner's bitch, or he'd say something. And I don't believe he'll say JACK SHIT in private to them either. |

Quote:
And I dam well expect him to get off his ass, act like he has a pair, and tell the league to shove it when he sees those holds that were selectively not called. |

You have to be a complete moron to think those 3 dod anything less than a stellar job this year.

Reid does a good job at getting his players to play together! He does a terrible job at times with clock management and attacking defenses. It was good enough to be 12-4. We only won the West because Derek Carr broke his ****ing leg, if that doesnt happen. Carr is MVP and Del Rio is Coach of the Year. Its more or less defaulted to Reid. Reid's a solid Coach, but he's solid in the terms of Marty. Will do just good enough to be competitive but never a serious threat to win a Super Bowl. It is what it is.

Oakland was given three early season games...only reason they were in the running. We swept them CONVINCINGLY
|
Quote:
We barely won 1 of the games, the first game we smoked them no doubt, but hell, we lost to some shitty ass teams, its just how it is. Again. Reid was pretty much defaulted the award because of the Injury to Carr. |
Barely won ROFL the **** you smoking. Oakland beat NOBODY last year. Tampa and Tenn aren't "shitty" anyway.

The greatest accomplishment is that the team managed to bypass the ReidSmith stepping all over its own dick, and to get as far as they did with that great deficiency working against them, yes. |

True, but it's hard to blame play calling with stills every week of wide open streaking guys getting ignored.

As to his having to throw across his body... he wouldn't have had to had he not left a clean pocket. Harrison was, I believe, about 12-14 years away from him when Smith bolted to his right. I understand not wanting to take a sack there but he also cannot be that skiddish if we are going to win games based on his intelligence and accuracy (despite his lack of arm strength). |
He doesn't really play smart though

I don't understand how he can be an absolute genius at times then miss obvious decisions.

Still a stupid thread

He will only achieve genius status he he names Mahomes the starter for next weeks home game against the Bills.

Bad game for Andy Reid that is for sure.

@greggabe Been told a few times now that a certain very successful NFL coach wants out from his current team. And no Chicago fans, it’s not Fox. This coach feels it’s time for a change 6:06 PM · Nov 19, 2017 Scout in the league for a long time so he has contacts. Not sure this is Andy with Mahomes here and a new contract. My guess is Arians. |
It's the guy behind center holding them back....same as in Philly.

I think Reid holds us back in a lot of ways, but I also think he's a perfect coach for mahomes. So I'd rather see what he can do with a qb who can let it loose. I'm OK with keeping him around. Unless Alex has some amazing turnaround that's the domino I think that most needs to fall.

When can the Chiefs find another Hank Strahm? Someone that isn't part of some coaching tree, hasn't been fired from another team and isn't content with winning the division. A coach that will hire the best people and not just coat tail riders. One that will build a team that doesn't require 4/7th of the cap to go to a bending defense, one that will get rid of players that don't perform.
Oh wait, the Chiefs have an owner that would rather watch futball than football. It all starts at the top. Tired of retread coaches and players. I know Mahomes is going to play at some point so the retread quarterback experiment will end soon. |
This isn't the year to fire Reid. So many teams will be looking for a head coach this offseason.

Our team's leadership just doesn't care, certainly not any more than the owner. |
Reid is fine. What he needs is a QB. He drafted one. I say Mahomes gets some starts this season.
Every HC looks great when they have stud QB's. With a competent passer he wouldn't feel so inclined to have to use gimmicks to create big plays in the passing game. Alex is so ****ing incompetent that he has to draw up passing plays for Kelce and Hill. |

If you're going to place Alex at Reid's feet, then you must also give him credit for recognizing that Alex isn't the answer.... |

Reid needs to be completely stripped of playcalling duties. No more useless bubble screens and WR/TE interceptions at the worst possible times.
