Kelce is crucial to this offense. No Kelce and I don’t think we win this game. He led all AFC WR and TE in receiving yards. No Jones I’m scared because Watson is one of the most sacked QBs and if we can’t get pressure on Watson he will have all day to throw
|
Wut?

JFC
And people gave me shit for being concerned yesterday. I’d be willing to bet that we’re the only ****ing team out of 4 with one more or less two stars dealing with injuries that apparently happened during or after the bye week. Wtf? |

Also, he got cut, not injured. He’ll likely be fine. |
You have to wonder if this is some gamesmanship on the Chiefs part. Those 2 guys likely don't need any practice to prepare for this game and without them it would give the Texans hope...
Is it really just the Chiefs letting them rest up a bit and then **** with the Texans emotions before kickoff? |

Yup. Not worried about him or Kelce |

Kenny Stills and Will Fuller were both limited today as well.

I believe Andy Reid is 4-1 when having a first round bye in the playoffs. With his only loss coming in 2016 to the Steelers.

Andy never does this. This is a def concern. If we lose those guys out there Sunday. I don't like our chances in the AFC Champ game assuming we win. This ****ing year and injuries. Amazing, get a bye and still getting injured. |
Everybody calm down lol

Tamba will bang the drum Sunday!!!
|
The only reason anyone should be worried about the Texans is because we are used to the Chiefs being historically enormous letdown heartbreakers.
If history didn't exist, there is no way anyone should fear the Texans. |
I believe we win this one hands down. Geaux Chiefs!
I want the Titans to beat the Ravens and come to KC. However, I think the Ravens win so we go to Baltimore. In my years as a Chiefs fan, I actually want this and we win the AFCCG in Baltimore so when the confetti flies, it is IN THEIR HOUSE on the road! That my Planeteers, is sweet justice for the misery we have experienced! |

We should be able to torch their secondary if we stop the run we can get up double digits. Andy better not let his foot off the ****ing gas.

Texans are -7 in point differential...which is rare for a 10-6 team. By contrast, KC is +143. This translates as the Chiefs outscored their opponents by 150 points more than the Texans.
These teams arent even close...and the above numbers back it up over a 16 game season. Chiefs played a tough schedule too... Houston needs every thing to break right for them to win. Bills would have likely beaten them if the refs didn't chime in on an inconsequential blind-side block penalty...which knocked them out of FG range....then Watson escaped a 1-1000 double sack. When things dont break right...they get a terrible Donk offense putting up 38 points on them....the same team that scored 3 points on KC. Watson is charmed...the gods like him. Only problem is they like Mahomes more. His luck runs out on Sunday...KC by at least 10. Texans have been "faking" their way through the season...that only lasts so long. |
So I’m seriously considering making an 11 hour drive up from Houston to watch this game. The flights aren’t worth the price unfortunately but this game is my last chance to see this team in person during the year we win the SB. I come to you CP brethren in hopes for you to convince me it is worth it to make a 22 hour commute commitment to watch a team in the freezing cold and that I shouldn’t be concerned about having to drive back in a car by myself for 11 hours dealing with a loss.
With that being said, I see there’s a snowstorm coming through, would you advise I not travel (I’ve seen snow like three times in my life and have never driven in it)? I wouldn’t be getting in until late Saturday night. |

If we win, yawn. If we lose, jesus ****ing christ. I'd hedge your happiness and watch it from the couch. Or, if you really want the thrill of the game, go to a Houston sports bar and watch it there by yourself surrounded by Texans fans. That'll give you the edge you want. |
I think we win by at least 14.
Anyone going to the game? A group of us are tailgating like we did last year with colts and 2010 ravens game. It was fun meeting some chiefs planet goers. |

FWIW, Houston's John McClain has picked the Chiefs to win...which is a bit of a surprise, BUT I've met him and in addition to knowing football better than just about anyone I've ever met, he's a really nice guy!
John McClain's picks |
If we win AND Baltimore somehow loses, I may look into going to the AFCCG again. The Baltimore part is a pretty goddamn big "if" though.
Of course, so was Miami beating New England. |

Just for shits and giggles I was looking at tickets for this game and I found one seat in section 24 row 1 seat 12 which is directly on the 50 yard line for a mere $500.00. Probably the best seat in the house.

Fun fact:
Texans have a negative point differential this seasons. Teams with a negative point differential are 0-7 in the Divisional round of the playoffs absolutely and they are 1-6 against the spread. |

Questionable usually means they play
I think Kelce will def play. Jones should too but if he’s out we’ll have to make due til next week. |

"Because the Chiefs", especially the playoff edition is still alive until they win a Super Bowl. The Chiefs somehow getting LESS healthy after a bye week is definitely in "Because the Chiefs" territory. |
Nut up, boys. Jones and Kelce will in all likelihood play. They’re Q, not D.
The Chiefs have enough depth at DL to pick and choose their spots with Jones if he’s not a full-on go. They can scheme pressure from the DL if needed. The Texans are especially bad at communicating on the OL and handing stunts and blitzes, which plays to the Chiefs’ favor/scheme. Stop worrying about pre-Mahomes history. It is meaningless. All that matters is KC is 1-1 in the playoffs in this era, and the loss was one offsides penalty away from the Super Bowl with an incredibly inept defensive coordinator. History doesn’t play games. Players do. In the playoffs, no one matters more than the elite QB. |
