Those poor gooner fans never in a million years thought they'd trail KU at any point this game. And shouldn't have, it's great.

Yeah, it's just fun to watch until OU snaps out of it and destroys everything in their path in the 2nd half.

FloridaMan88 10-23-2021 11:12 AM

No wonder Chokelahoma is fleeing to the SEC.

Bearcat 10-23-2021 11:13 AM

Probably should have blown the whistle, but even the refs aren't believing what they're seeing.

First lead over a top 25 team since 2014!! PBJ

I would suspect a combination of the Cats being out of town and wanting to enjoy KU fans' misery first hand (not working out so well for him obviously).

I wouldn't do it - I'm in from of the tv watching K-State trying to over come their abysmal first half. But, to each their own.

KC_Connection 10-23-2021 12:25 PM

OU is going to get destroyed if they happen to make the playoff. Wonder which SEC team will get them.

There were free tickets all over town for this game. KU AD Office has been giving tickets away all season.

Yeah. If I were a KSU fan there is no chance I’m not watching KSU on TV instead of watching KU in person.

smithandrew051 10-23-2021 12:50 PM

Have to make that tackle.

That’s what typically happens in these games. When the good team starts to make a comeback, it’s compounded by the worse team making errors like that. Then it’s out of hand.

Cat's just went ahead. Failed on the 2pt try so it's a 1 point game. I've seen this movie enough times to know the most probable out come. But I'll stick with it any way.

Meh. Grew up playing basketball as a kid and KSU wasn’t getting that done. There are a lot of KSU homers here, but most of them didn’t go. The guys that went to KSU are typically reasonable guys.

Things weren’t as wild back then. These days I’m not sure my hayseed ass would fit in at ESU where I went. College is a lot different than when I went. (Get off my lawn LOL)

OU went for it on 4th. Getting tackled behind the LOS Caleb Williams pulled the ball out of the backs hands and ran for the first.

Ruled a legal forward fumble because they were behind the LOS. Legitimate argument to be made that forward progress was stopped. But Caleb Williams is a ****ing wizard.

Some on twitter are saying that if the runner broke the LOS he shouldn't be able to forward handoff.

Hmm - I don't think his entire body ever passed the neutral zone.

Well if it works the way in college as it does for throwing a pass in the NFL for a QB then he clearly didn't cross the LOS. Mahomes let go of a TD pass against the Titans, I believe, in the playoffs where all but his back foot was over the LOS and it counted because by rule he did not cross the LOS.

EDIT: Thats exactly how it reads from that highlighted portion. His entire body has to cross the neutral zone. You cant even tell if the ball crossed, but its damn clear his body didnt.

smithandrew051 10-23-2021 02:31 PM

I think there’s a MUCH stronger argument that forward progress should have been called than saying the handoff was somehow illegal.

In real-time, I assumed forward progress was called. Then I saw the QB several yards down field with the ball. I figured it must’ve been a damn good play fake or something.
