He and the Dolphins owner had a plan last offseason for him to become the starting QB and a minority owner of the franchise (a plan involving tampering for which the Dolphins were fined by the league), so it's not much of a surprise he'd look to follow through with it now.

How is it legal to give a player an ownership stake? Sounds like cheating the salary cap in a major way.

Makes sense. If he came back he would only go to a stacked team. Zero chance of spoiling his legacy by making him earn it with lesser talent. He might not want Miami though as their defense is not very good (and he needs a Top 10 one to win anything. I would love seeing the mental gymnastics Patriots fans go through if he went there and beat them with an AFCE team.

And if Tommy Bitch is playing QB for the Dolphins it will most likely be Miami at Chiefs for the Thursday Night opener.

He should be banging all the Insta models he can get his hands on in the Caribbean since being divorced, not contemplating extending an overextended career by one or two more years. What's he got left to prove or to earn?? Hell, go be minority owner of the Dolphins now and take your Instahoes to the owner's box with you, Brady. Live life, you've earned it.

Nah, he did it legitimately last year and came back because he still wanted to be playing.

He wouldn't have gotten ahead of it this year and done it immediately if he hadn't been sure. He also saw his skills declining and didn't want to go out any worse than he already did. Very different from how he ended the prior season.

He knows he sullies his legacy if he plays this game again. It's not happening. He cares too much about the narrative and his legacy to do this again.

Pepe Silvia 03-06-2023 07:47 PM

Wasn't Gisele banging her photographer like a week after they split? She was definitely cheating on him in that case. He probably just unretired last year because he knew the divorce was inevitable and he delayed that Fox contract.

As long as the Chiefs have Patrick Mahomes, I couldn't give a **** if Brady chooses to retire or not. We've been to 3 SBs in 5 years. **** him.

I think he's got the Michael Jordan bug. It's part of what makes them great but it's also a mental thing that I think 99.9% of people just don't have. Just a sick obsession with competition. Not sure Brady has gambling or golf like Jordan did though.

Where would he go in the NFC, though?

Everyone over there is either already committed to a QB or not in a position to win now even with Brady. The only two I'd think would even be worth it for him to try are the Rams or Commanders.

He would absolutely blow goats as a color guy.

I think Fox underestimates how much people actually hate Tom Brady. And listening to his press conferences and interviews is excruciating because he has a soft spoken, lazy way of talking that doesn't seem like it would be compatible with calling a game. I don't know exactly how to explain his speaking style, but lazy seems close.

I never want to have to listen to him call a Chiefs game.

He sounds like half a bundle of sticks, he should never call a football game. No women either.

He gets special treatment from the refs. I just want him to stay retired, but I also don’t expect him to keep his word.

I've been surprised since he signed the Fox deal that it was to be an in-game commentator. I suppose the money is better, but a studio job is so much easier, and requires no travel assuming he has a house in LA.
