How’s Henne at fielding punts?

Mahomes is hurt, the Bengals are steamrolling, and I'm going to be content with the outcome either way.

Man oh man, it isn't happening. I want this so bad I'm seething. I can only imagine how Pat and the rest of the guys feel. We have to win this. That's all there is to it. I don't even care if we lose in the SB. This game, we just have to goddamn win.

That's exactly how I feel.

CapsLockKey 01-26-2023 01:14 PM

If you are going to bother putting anyone other than Mahomes at QB in 3rd and 1 you'd be better off with McKinnon, not Henne. He was a college QB so may be alright for a trick play here and there.

Not sure why bell does the sneaks then. At least mck could throw a toss when the d commits to the middle on an inches down.

Man, if he's not blowing smoke that will be a miraculous recovery. Like absolutely incredible. I'm certainly hoping that's the case, but I just don't see any way. God I hope I'm wrong.

U would rarely run one on 3rd and 1...but option being there important

As is current we have no threat to qb sneak which is the most useful play in football on 3rd and short. I mean why do you people think we are worst team in NFL on 3rd and short?

2nd clip looks good - put a lot of pressure on it running in an arc.

Should be good to run outside zone.

The 2nd video from under center looks a million times better than what we saw last Saturday. Gotta hope he can avoid setbacks in practice and especially the game. I wouldn't be shocked if the Bengals try to step on the ankle when they get the chance. Aggravate it and make it tough on him the rest of the game.

We were not allowed to film, but saw Patrick Mahomes take some drops in practice today. Planting and throwing off that right ankle. Overall he seemed to move around today with more comfort and confidence in my opinion. Maybe because he tested it yesterday and got a feel for it?

I think he's on record as being a huge fan of PMII. Also, I think after the AFCCG loss in 2019, Brady went to the Chiefs locker room to seek out Patrick and apparently Brady never or rarely has done that with opposing players.

I think Brady will end up being a likeable tv character as opposed to the despised player he was on the field similiar to Manning. He doesn't come off as arrogant when I hear him talk. Gronk is the same way. Goofy and a likeable dude you could go to the bar and have a beer with.

This is probably very true, I almost forgot how much I despised Manning when he played because I enjoy him so much now.

Usually when guys play for rival teams, you don't really appreciate them until they're gone. Still think Brady is the luckiest MF'er of all time and got more calls than anyone in league history, but whatever. He'll do very well on TV.

Very likeable public persona and when on the field. On field behavior is psychopathic. Would never go on a hunting trip alone with hi., though.

I can’t imagine there will ever be a time that I hear his voice without dreaming of jabbing an ice pick in his windpipe.

I find Gronk annoying He will be the perfect replacement for Terry Bradshaw when he is ready to give up his seat on the Fox Pregame show.

Pat already jogs so awkwardly when he is healthy that its hard to tell anything from him jogging around in practice other than there appears to be no limp.

until some fat asshole rolls on his leg

OBJ and Wylie, that includes you....watch yourselves

Eleazar 01-26-2023 04:28 PM

Yeah, it's a good sign but I don't want to see him taking any further damage to that leg, and you know the Bengals are going to be gunning for it.

What’s the alternative? It’s the AFC Championship game, he’s playing and if his leg falls off then so be it. This isn’t week 12 and we need to get him healthy for the playoffs.

Why does Spags insist on 280 pound defensive ends in a 4-3 when he likes to zone blitz and drop ends into coverage every now and then is the question.

Maybe stand down a bit on playing post police...

Pasta Little Brioni 01-26-2023 05:19 PM

Did someone....just say....the Chiefs weren't supposed to be in this game and are surprised about it??? The **** is wrong with you guys? If Mahomes is healthy enough, I have the same attitude as every week. I expect to win.

If anybody with the Chiefs thought that was a big risk, he wouldn't play.

He wouldn't have played last week.

Why don't you just relax and trust this team to do their jobs? It's not like they haven't proven themselves over and over and over.

I remember the days watching Willie Roaf walk wondering if this is a person that should be drawing disability only to watch him on Sunday being one of the best offensive lineman in the league.
