I've already seen this narrative getting spun and to a lot of the media guys their perfect scenario is.. Burrow=Brady Mahomes=Manning Allen=Roethlisberger It makes it far easier for them to do content. |

Yeah I don't get the downer spirit. If anything this game is probably the best chance we have had when you account for injuries and an improved defensive personnel. I am not worried about Mahomes ankle, as long as his brain isn't hanging out of his skull and he can throw in the pocket we are fine.
Playing the Bengals defense is a chess match, it has far less to do with Mahomes magic, and more to do with play design/game planning. You could see it in the way they played the Bills last week. Bills had a terrible plan for pressure. Their TEs were slow to get off of their chips, RBs would get stuck on blocks and leak out late, and Josh seemed to be suffering from a severe case of Cassel-itis holding the ball too long. Lou's entire philosophy is to force your play design to consistently have near perfect hot throws available on any given play. He sends 3 to 6 and sits in zones most of the game because he knows his pussy team would get taken advantage of in man. When he is in man, Mahomes just needs to take advantage of those opportunities because someone will always be open. And lucky for us we have arguably the best play designer in the ****ing game sitting at Arrowhead drive in Andy and the best executer of said plan in Mahomes. Not to mention it can't be overstated how big of a deal it will be to have Thuney present for the heat Lou sends and Toney for what he offers in the quick game. |
YES. GO MECOLE.

Let me clarify that I still think we can very well win this game. |
NFLN is showing all three Bungholes losses today. I'm going to watch them all just to punish myself or something.

Sack up. We're going to win this ****ing game. |
The Kurt Warner breakdown was interesting. The keying on Kelce for what their defense does should be exploitable. Seeing 3v5 winning at a high rate is the biggest reason for their defensive success. Other than Chiefs receivers not being able to get open and their players trusting each other in their assignments.
So all you football experts, how is the 5v8 winning when the 5v3 is losing? |

you wanna bet against mahomes, fine, but the guy got ****ing turf toe and the next week we dropped 38 points on the #1 defense

This game really gives me that Tampa vibe from earlier in the season where the team will come out and just explode their nutz all over the cocky bungholes.
Thuney, Toney and Watson didn't play in week 13. Three key pieces in this puzzle. Thuney holding up the rush, Toney being the X factor (the Tyreek type the bungholes feared last year) and Watson replacing Wiliams who was torched in the last game. I think Verderame made a great point by saying that Spags should play Cook more as a linebacker in this game in place of Gay (perhaps). Close the gap in the short intermediate routes where home alone kid had much success. Our DLine will not be pushed around so that will be a key component on the outcome of this game. |

He was 12-18 for almost 120 yards and a TD AFTER the injury. He's going to play even better than that on Sunday. He's going to be fine and the Chiefs are going to win. |

Feels like the most overlooked aspect of this game is the Bengals OL.
The Bills DL sucks dick without Miller, so between that and the snow, I think people are expecting them to play better than they actually will. |
IS IT ****ING SUNDAY YET

Well gay just said their offense was nothing special.

Injury news is trending Chiefs. |
I'm watching the 2021 Bungholes regular season game now.
Players I don't miss: Ward Fenton Hitchens Sorenson Niemann We are so much better on defense this year. On Chase's long TD YAC, Ward could have had him but let up. In one series, Fenton: 1) just sat there and watched Chase bobble a catch and didn't even try to knock the ball out 2) blitzed and got there but did a terrible job of wrapping up 3) DPI Brilliant move by Veech trading Fenton so Spags wouldn't be tempted to put him in. Thanks Zayne! Oh look, Hill not timing his jump well vs. the Bungholes and dropping the ball. Where have I seen that before? |

FFS what a frustrating game. I was out of town when it happened, so this is my first time seeing the full game. 10 things could have gone the other way and we win. And then Mahomes doesn't feel the need to press so much, and the second game goes completely differently. Torbert was 100% committed to calling penalties on us on that last drive. The hands to the face on Sneed was pretty damn ticky tack to call in that spot. Never even saw the defensive holding call before that. Also Zac Taylor repeatedly showed balls in that game, and Reid did not. We should have gone for it on 4th and 5 from the 45. Taylor went for it on 4th and 2 from his own 40, only down 4. And all that going for it at the end of the game is what won them the game. |
Watching some Bengals games. This team is just lucky if anything. I'm not impressed.
|
Their Wild Card game vs the Ravens is probably a better representation of Cincy (especially with their decimated offensive line) than their game last week vs a Buffalo team that essentially quit after the second drive of the game... again.
|
I wonder how Reid and company approach gameplanning. Think they underestimated anuramu last year. We’ve gotta have a few different game plans. Our initial script and then a brand new one in the second half. Feel like Nagy might be a big help here. I don’t hate eb like some do but Nagy is way more able to adapt and watch the surface tablet with mahomes, even more than Kafka would. Normally we’d punch early but I wonder if with the way we’ve struggled in second halves vs the bengals if we save our biggest punches for right after halftime. We were a much much better second half offense vs cincy earlier this year.

Chiefs offense yards per play: 6.4
Chiefs defense yards allowed per play: 5.1 Bengals offense yards per play: 5.4 Bengals defense yards allowed per play: 5.4 Certainly doesn't guarantee a Chiefs victory, but if Mahomes is healthy and the boys decide to show up and put up their A game, the Bengals are trouble. |
The cocky Beangals are in for an epic beatdown. We are going to punch them in the mouth.

That video that Kurt Warner is commenting is absurdly and mind blowing honestly.
That’s exactly how you shut out a team for an entire half. Generate pressure with 3 rushers. No way in hell Andy let’s then get away with that this time |
Hayden Hurst popped up on the injury report today with a calf injury. Apparently it's the same calf that kept him out of three games in December so it might be one to keep an eye on. Losing him would be huge.
|
Based on the Warner video it looks like we'll get 1 on 1 and need to take some shots against that

Just don't think they will have an answer for a power running game Toney PLUS Hardman. Their DBs aren't good enough, and they don't have an all-star LB. |
God damn I'm hyped for this game.
