I'm 5'7". I've always been told I carried my weight well. Right now, I still have the "wings" (flab under my arms), the tummy, and the thighs. I've really been losing my hips, waist, and, unfortunately, bust. Although, like you guys want to know this, I started out as a 42DD, and I'm nearly down to a 36D.

Your tits were way too big, anyway. That's not attractive.

I'm definitely building muscle. My baby bicep muscle is nearly a child now...lol. I also see a tricep firm up when I flex. Definition in my calves and bottoms of my quads. Every time I notice something new, I get so excited!

I know most of you guys don't give a shit about the science behind some of this stuff, but **** you I'm going to post it anyways because I'm becoming a huge Keto fan for numerous reasons :D New study out with results not yet published.

"Keto group vs regular bodybuilding/western/college diet. 12 weeks long. Vigorous weight training protocol.

Calories matched
Protein matched (maybe the one unrealistic part of this study)
I think the keto group was 75%/20/5 Fat/pro/cho

The keto guys lost twice the amount of fat. They gained slightly less muscle when they initially looked at ultrasound and Dexa. But once they carbed them up (glycogen and water are "lean body mass"), they had equivalent muscle gains. "

Couldn't sleep, got up and knocked out 4 jumping jacks. Down 4 more pounds.

Perhaps this has been talked about, but has anyone ever experienced having one part growing more than the other?

I'm currently having that problem with biceps & I want to correct it before it gets out of hand.

I'm in my 2nd week of keto. I'm beasting with energy, but when I pissed on a stick this morning it showed just trace amounts of ketones, compared to last week when it showed heavy amounts.

I know I'm under 20g of carbs but haven't really been tracking my protein and fat intakes. This has to be caused by too much protein, right? Or maybe a faulty keto stick? It was my 2nd piss of the morning that I tested on.

Cool, but needs more info. Trained subjects? Untrained? Overweight? Obese? Normal weight? P value? How many subjects? Amount of fat lost? How many calories?

Yeah, that just a summary from a radio show. I'll probably have to wait for it to be published to see everything.

It could be too much protein spilling over or it could just be the normal fluctuation in Ketones in your blood stream. It will vary from hour to hour as you are now burning Ketones for fuel.

Is this in reference to a caloric deficit/ fat loss approach? There's no doubt about lower carbs & fat loss. I'm sure Silock will chime in with some good info, but I'm pretty sure that the lower you keep insulin, the higher glucagon and FFA mobilization occurs, hence the awesome fat loss. From a muscle building perspective, I believe its the opposite and you want insulin as its one of the most anabolic hormones in the body.

Again, I'm not a diet guru- I just know what works for me. I always up the carbs a lot when gaining and lower them when I want to lean out.

Aspengc8 05-02-2014 09:37 AM

Hit a 575 sumo dead PR last night after changing my stance to more of a 'Ed Coan' medium stance. Bit of a grind but felt strong. Had a kid ask me why I don't just do REAL deadlifts... just kinda laughed in his face and felt bad. LMAO

If anyone has some good bench accessory movements other than floor press or board press, let me know. Been stuck around 290 and I need to get it up over 300 soon. Mainly been doing floor press and some close grip incline work.

Well about 4 months ago i set my goal to look the best I have in my life by my 35th birthday which is tomorrow and I'm pretty sure I've met that goal. Didn't quite get to where I wanted to be with the abs, but I think a few more months of hard and smart work would do it if i wanted to. Not sure where I want to go from here though. I am a little more fatigued at times being in Ketosis so I'm thinking of giving carb cycling a try as I sure as hell don't want to go back to the before picture either. I guess I was in denial how shitty I was looking back then until I saw the picture. First pic taken January 5th and last pic taken today.
