Rams have 43 million in cap space. Its not like they're strapped for cash. We're not getting Donald.

I guess I have more faith in Veach than most here.

Peters and Donald are similarly skilled players at their respective positions. If Donald is part of the deal, I’m super excited. I’m a huge fan.

Even if you have to pay the guy big bucks, he’s worth it.

The fact he is going into the last year of his rookie deal (his option year) means maybe the Rams would rather have a CBon a rookie deal than pay Donald big money.

Reasons it makes sense:

1) Usually compensation has been revealed by now in trades.
2) Donald is in the last year of his deal.
3) It’s been reported a first rounder isn’t included, and they don’t have a second. ...A player has to be included then. Right? We didn’t trade Peters for a third, did we?

I'd tend to think Watkins would be more likely involved, but trading your #1 WR with a guy going into his 3rd year at QB with an offensive coach seems nuts.

If we got Donald though that'd be nuts.

This trade doesn't make sense.

It’s lunacy that we still don’t know the return on this trade. Has this ever happened in NFL history?

I'm not a fan of the trade. There must be a lot behind the scenes that we just don't know for them to be doing this.

It’s what they did with Grandpa Bob. They knew from season’s end that they were keeping him, but they refused to say anything, one way or the other, for weeks. Kind of makes me nervous.

Imagine what this felt like before the internet.

Why are we even talking about players? Both Schefter and Rapoport have said its just picks.

It's not like they have actually made the trade officially, it's only an agreement until March.

They have been wrong before and they are the only ones really saying anything. If its just picks then the info would have been released. Just my opinion. Which isn't worth a hill of beans in the grand scheme. :)

Its essentially a fire sale to get a "problem" off the team.

It's not official, technically, but the teams have agreed to terms. The Rams already posted a tweet all but confirming the deal.

Yeah, but so is the Alice trade, and we knew the exact compensation that evening. It’s all just kind of weird.
