My biggest issue with Earl is the contract. |

The need defensive help and the last time they traded multiple picks for a defensive player, they got Breeland Speaks. |

What worries you about the contract? When has a contending team EVER had trouble working the cap to get a guy they want? Is it because we won't be able to sign players 2 years down the road? That's just silly. Money is never an issue, only an excuse. |

I’d trade a 2nd and 3rd for Thomas. If the long term signing wasn’t too expensive I’d trade a first for him. |

Veach is playing this right. The price WILL come down by 10/30. Seattle will be monumentally stupid if they ask for a 1st, refuse a 2nd and keep this guy to only get (at best) a 3rd rd comp pick. |

The argument is more "why give up the assets when you don't have to?" You can walk away from this with both Earl Thomas and only give up a 2nd and change.
